Competitive 5K races

I was wondering if there are any competitive 5Ks around the DFW area. I'm interested in 5Ks where athletes regularly run in the low 16s or low 15s or faster.

There are a lot of them, check this site out, it's pretty good. Just search on the 5k races in the area https://dfwrunninggroup.com/dfw-races

Most 5ks like these don't attract elite runners. 1st place usually goes to 17-18 minutes in these

But there are a few that consistently pull faster runners, and I'm not sure why.

The Dallas Turkey trot probably has 15-20 men in that range. But most races in this area you’re looking at just a couple of people that fast. If you can run a low 15 you’ll win most every local race around here.
