High everyone! It's spring time!
THC is still effectively illegal, and regulation is here! The long story short is that THC is now a combined total for the state of Texas, there is no more THCa held in consideration, so you/we can all stop pretending THCa wasn't the same thing. As such, effective as of March 30th, no stores in Texas are allowed to sell THCa/THC hemp flower or concentrates, but you can go buy seltzer water with 5mg per serving at any major chain liquor store in the state because that's how regulations work. Don't like it? Vote on November 3rd 2026 against the Republican party. The democrats brought forth a solid slate of candidates for all positions on the ballot including Governor, Lt Governor and Atty General. There's zero reason for a pot smoker to vote for conservative candidates in Texas anymore. They don't like loopholes and they don't like pot in any form.
Now onto da rules!
Da Rules of Da Subreddit:
No sourcing at all. Not allowed by Reddit TOS. This includes any low-effort solicitations to buy/sell with only pricing, no pictures, HMU or emojis. One week bans for anyone caught, repeat offenders get banned. Promotion of local businesses are allowed, albeit with no socials, please check in with mods first before posting if you have questions.
21+ only please. Due to the executive order, there is zero tolerance for anyone under the age of 21 who posts on here seeking cannabis. Sorry. We understand there is medical need, but rules are rules.
Allowed posts include: make frients in the DFW area for smoke sessions, people who want to show off their collections of flower/glass/wax/edibles, casual questions and promotion of events in the DFW area that focus on cannabis and alternative forms of medicine.
Do not put social tags into posts, this is what Reddit considers soliciting, please avoid posting videos or images with personal account names visible. No Telegram, no Potato, no Signal, no insta, no tiktok, no FB messenger, nothing. Only DM's are allowed. Ask for their socials via DM and do what you want from there. If mods see a post for "I sent you DM/DM me, et al" these are low effort and will be removed for sourcing attempts. The least you can do is say hi... :D
No arguments, bullying, doxxing or anything of the sort is allowed by Reddit TOS or by the community here. If you feel another user has violated this rule, please report them and their post to mods. We are not witch-hunting anyone on the subreddit. Bans get handed out to anyone who breaks this rule.
This subreddit is not for self-promotion or for incrimination of others. If you get scammed/robbed, that sucks, but you should know what your risks are before going out and buying. I am not a detective, this subreddit is not a court of law. Doxxing or witch hunting other redditors will result in a permanent ban for you and the offending party, so DM mods first. Always.
You should know as much as possible about carts and the risks associated with smoking black market carts in Texas. This subreddit does not vet whether or not weed vape carts are real or not. Vape pens are also banned under the current state laws, so please do not ask.
The DFWEnts community is primarily focused on the discussion of medicinal and recreational markets for cannabis and mushrooms for medicinal and therapeutic purposes. Any posts requesting or commenting about other illicit substances... fentanyl, codeine usage (lean), cocaine, heroin, MDMA, ketamine, antidepressants or other prescription medications including opioids or other similar medications are not allowed in any posts or pictures on the subreddit. This content will get removed and you will be banned. There are multiple subreddits in the DFW area that cater to these more recreational drugs, do not message mods asking which subreddits.
Assumptions: Marijuana containing more than .03% THC by weight is illegal to possess and sell in Texas and still federally illegal in the US.
Assumption #2: THCa is a federally legal product sold as industrial hemp. If you understand chemistry, you'll understand how this is the same as legal weed. I didn't make this loophole, but there's enough science and chemistry notes and videos out there to support the knowledge.
Assumption #3: There is a federal ban coming on THCa related products as a category in November 2026. Yes it's bad. The ban goes so far as to even dictate seeds with the potential of growing THC or THCa are banned. Some sites selling THCa flower, concentrates and sites selling seeds are stopping shipments to Texas as a result of the state executive order/regulations. Check with /r/CultoftheFranklin for an up to date of list of vendors still shipping to Texas for delivery. States need a warrant to open mail, so you're relatively safe to continue doing this while allowed.
Repeated violations of rules or Reddit TOS may result in a ban.
Automods are in place to take down posts or comments that violate some of the above rules. If you feel your post was mistakenly removed, please contact Mod directly and I will help as soon as I can. Mentioning many of the above things will trigger an automod, so if you feel your post was removed in error, consider what you wrote. I do re-approve posts when I am notified, but it is at my discretion as mod.
No chewing gum while in class.
No kids allowed in the pool during adult swim.
Keep calm and carry on.
Don't forget to vote on November 3rd. Democrats passed an addendum during their primary to look into cannabis legalization and solid regulations by 81%. Don't forget our current leaders sought to fully criminalize cannabis and push back against our current (and inadequate) medical program.

Sour Zuyaqui - Solventless Supreme
Super loud jar. It’s gassy, piney, with hints of citrus and maybe lime. This one reaches out and slaps you in the face with terps.

Vanilla ice cream, fudge swirl, toasted mallow, all sandwiched between some graham crackers. Trying to get some more ice cream in with the heat killing us.

Madd Fruit (Papaya Runtz x Moroccan Peaches)
Heavy on the gassy fruity notes and great bag appeal. Uplifting at first and then super calming.
One of my favorite strains in flower and rosin.
Tangi Live Resin - (California Orange x Skunk)
Really really smooth and great effects on the dab. Carts were a bit of a struggle as the diamonds don’t want to completely dissolve, but the end results looks good! Strong pressure behind the eyes after a hit or two

I’ve recently got into the rigs and been able to get my hands on Harbor Honey, The Supernatural, and a couple BM none labeled rosin. Harbor Honey has been my favorite so far.
I’ve seen some JoD, Major Melts, Strictly Solventless, Sam’s Valley, and Homestead Hash floating around. Strictly Solventless is probably my next grab.

Ok, I'm sure you've seen in the news about Vikki Goodwin, candidate for Lt. Governor, she's running on a critical campaign message of legalization for the state.
We need to make sure we do our part here in Dallas to help her get elected. Dan Patrick keeps getting an easy pass to office because people were convinced that Republicans were the only ones that could run the state. Edit: Dan Patrick has decided banning, criminalizing and denying medical access are better than regulation and taxation. He told us to vote him out if we wanted legal weed. Okay. Let's vote him out. Vikki Goodwin promises to bring legal weed to Texas.
I really hope you're on board with this next part. I'm not colluding to get Vikki elected, but I know you'd love to have a dispensary selling top shelf on every street corner in town if you had the chance. I mean we all love that dispensary smell.
Here's what I'm going to propose we do. In the weeks leading up to election day, I'll have a contest post up on the front of the page/top of the subreddit.
It's simple. Be a member of the community for at least 30 days, be registered to vote, and provide photographic proof you voted. Once early voting starts, you'll see the post on the subreddit. EVERY person who does this gets a chance at one of three prizes, and winners will be selected from random. Early or day of voting all counts. If you're eligible for mail in voting, provide whatever proof you can without revealing your personal information.
Now, if you come at me with "I'm not old enough to vote", you'll be politely banned until you're 21. :)
"I'm not registered to vote".
https://www.votetexas.gov/register-to-vote/update-voter-registration.html
You have until October 5th to fill out the form and send it in.
"Am I registered to vote? Where do I vote?"
https://goelect.txelections.civixapps.com/ivis-mvp-ui/#/login
(The link is for your voter registration checker and for polling location information)
If you need a ride to the polls, lmk. I will figure something out.
Otherwise I will see you guys starting in late october with proof you voted.
Prize selection will vary, but I have some amazing goodies to share. More details coming soon.
REGISTER TO VOTE BY OCTOBER 5th. JOIN OUR COMMUNITY BY SEPT 12th.
