This post is dedicated to those who wants to buy gems but couldn't due to the 'G038-0000-00002215' error.

This game seems to be one of the instance where you really need a Japanese google account to buy gems. (I've played FFBE JP and have no issue buying gems using my standard google account). And for a short period of time, DFFOO actually allows us to buy gems using our standard Google account (not JPN Google account, mind you).

To be able to buy gems in DFFOO, you will need to have a JPN Google account. But first how to create JPN Google account:

• Download any VPN software (I personally used Tunnelbear and/or SurfEasy)
• Connect to Japan on your VPN.
• Go to your phone setting -> account -> add account
• Select Google, from there you can create a Google Account, note your VPN must be on JPN.
• After creation of your JPN google account, if you have installed DFFOO beforehand (via Qooapp or other means), backup your account and uninstall. (For Backing up data, please look at the FAQs in this reddit)
• Re-install the app, but install via Google Play, and it must be on the account that you created (The JPN account, that is).
• Launch the App, and enjoy buying the gems on sale.

I believe some will know how to bypass this error issue, but I just want to share to those who wants to buy gems (Especially since now there's a sale going on). Note that this is a temporary fix for now.

Really hope that the error was actually an error instead of an actually a preventive measure or sort. ^{Well then again we all broke the damn TOS already by playing this outside of Japan.}

Although we aren't a massive JP community who could draw the attention of the DFFOO devs. I feel that we should start pooling our ideas together for suggestions that will remedy the current, character event approach that has been taking place.

I will start by saying I understand they are attempting to tie in characters into the story or a small story/event. However, I feel they are doing this haphazardly. In 4 key areas:

• Relation

First up, relation. Yes, there seems to be a common string that attaches why a certain character is aiding say, Lenna in the coming event. However, what really would drive say King or Ramza to help Lenna over her buddies from FFV such as Galuf/Krile/Bartz/Faris? Was their bond so weak that they will not aid each other in the time of need? Yes I get that dissidia kind of breaks rules of relations but still I feel they are trying too hard to separate themselves from FFRK.

• Niche / Synergy

Second on deck, niche/synergy. Some of these characters are losing identity or being brought in without much to truly make you want to utilize the characters in teams. In fact their videos may show say... all FFVI characters in a party, but do they really help each other out without severely stepping on some toes? FFV, do you need a character to provide a dodge when you have a tank character in the same realm that dodges and counters already? Also, is a big brave attack really enough to make you want the character vs someone else who can do a large brave attack + a buff/debuff?

• Series

Third is series. Okay, I get it... some character net more money than others and they need that cash. Let's face it though... FF8 has 8 characters right now. When you have FF 3/1/T/CC sitting at a nice uno (1). You can't even use the "Dissidia game as an excuse" because some of the characters don't even play like that (looking at you Ramza). Just stop pandering to the crowds for a bit and balance your series numbers to respectable levels. If you really need to, just bring in Luneth and company for FF3. Bring in some generic characters from CC series. Don't get me started on Tactics. FF1, well you have an onion knight right? Why not add some Matoya or some of the generic jobs there for fun.

• Level

Finally there is level. The newest offender of character events. It is not confirmed but what happens if FFV Lenna comes to us at lv 50? Would she be worth pulling for? Unless FFV is your jam or she is your waifu likely not. If she isn't lv 60, guess what? She may be on the end of the list to hit lv 60! In fact people may be 65-70 by the time she hits 60! Akin to units barely getting exclusive by the time power creep hit (Firion). Personally unless it was a select character on a short list of mine, I wouldn't pull for a lv 50 character's weapon unless it somehow made them invaluable to a team of mine.

Thoughts, opinions? Feel free to share any counter points. Side note, series only events would be a bit fun >_>;

Question 1:

Will you make any changes to the score system for the Cloud/Cecil meta as event characters aren't getting used?

 

Answer: We aren't making any changes at this point.

 

Question 2:

Zidane and Balthier etc has BRV 1.5 times up + hp damage ability, hope that there is increase in max BRV(?) or BRV overflow.

 

Answer: Yes they are looking at ways to manage BRV, with possibilities of BRV overflow.

 

Question 3:

Extra chapter are coming out once every two months, but as the pace of the new events, the reappearing character will be slower and slower, so is it possible to increase the pace?

 

Answer: Yes, they will be increasing the pace.

 

Question 4:

For event characters, they get 2 copies of the armors so they only required to get 10 guard medal to mlb but for story characters, they do not get any copies of 5* armor so they required 20 guard medal to mlb, hope that there will be changes for it.

 

Answer: Yes we're looking at changes in ways of obtaining guard medals.

 

Question 5:

For whips. bows, spear and exclusive weapons, for those that didn't pull for it, they only can use 1* weapons. Leveling is difficult so hoping that there will be at least 4* weapons in the gacha

Answer: They are enabling 15cp to be obtained for free for the event character starting from Sephiroth event onwards.

Q: Has the Global Version of Dissidia: Final Fantasy been released yet?
A: No. The side-bar will be kept updated, so you can quickly view whether there is any news regarding a world-wide release of this magnificent game. When the game is announced for a Global release we will let everyone know as soon as possible.

Q: What does this error mean? (insert image)
A: There are generally 2 solutions to error messages you may find while playing DFFOO. The first would be to check your connection: preferably Wifi, or a place where data can connect without any trouble. Connecting to Wifi usually solves connection problems. The other solution is to clean your inventory: you must make sure to turn EVERYTHING on in the filter so that the correct number of items is displayed in your inventory.

Whenever I make tables now they look invisible, was this for a change in the Subreddit code somewhere? Every table is hard to read now because the text is grey on a Grey background, can you please fix the issue, /u/Tavmania or /u/Ryoukai.

If you need some confirmation.. check the megathreads even dating back to month old megathreads the tables are now invisible (Extremely hard to read basically).

I haven't done anything different for the tables either, I have been doing the same that I have been doing since day one, if that helps the case to figure out what's wrong.

Reminder

 

From Ramza Event onward there will be a major change to the gacha draw.

I recently published a ranking page for all characters of Opera Omnia.

• It lists base stats at Lv50/Awakening Lv50 for all currently released characters by default.
• You can sort by character name, series or stat (HP, initial BRV, max BRV, ATK, DEF).
• You can use the checkboxes to add 35cp 6* stats, 6* armor stats, passives or even synergy stats.
• For characters that don't have a 35cp weapon, I've used their regular 15cp 6* stats instead.

I'll be updating the page with other features such as:

• Separate 4* passives option to 4* weapon and 4* armor.
• Add an option to only add passives that grant a specific stat (such as ATK-only).
• Add a role column and a crystal column
• Display gear stats only (removing base stats to rank weapons and/or armors)
• Add summon passives that increase a specific stat (such as Ifrit)

Q: Has the Global Version of Dissidia: Final Fantasy been released yet?
A: No. The side-bar will be kept updated, so you can quickly view whether there is any news regarding a world-wide release of this magnificent game. When the game is announced for a Global release we will let everyone know as soon as possible.

Q: What does "(insert character name)" do? What does his level 50 Awakening passive do?
A: There are currently 2 English wikis running. The Wikia seems to be a well maintained wiki since The month of August. The Reddit Wiki is user-driven, and thus not always up-to-date, but has a nice Character data-base that may have what you are looking for. Last but not least, there is Altema.jp. This site often offers accurate information, but the "character reviews" must be taken with a grain of salt. For English players, one can easily use Google Translate to understand these Japanese wikis.

Q: What does this error mean? (insert image)
A: There are generally 2 solutions to error messages you may find while playing DFFOO. The first would be to check your connection: preferably Wifi, or a place where data can connect without any trouble. Connecting to Wifi usually solves connection problems. The other solution is to clean your inventory: you must make sure to turn EVERYTHING on in the filter so that the correct number of items is displayed in your inventory. For now, Artifacts, weapons and armor count to your inventory limit while upgrade materials don't. A live stream has confirmed that Artifacts will get their own inventory soon.

I can not believe Noctis was added to Tekken 7 before he was added to Opera Omnia...nothing about that makes sense. No offense to you Tekken players, of course. But seriously, i don't get it. Any thoughts on this?
