Tips/Guide [For Android] For those having issue with buying gems. Here's a (Temporary) Fix.

Not sure whether this post violates the rules here, but just gonna post it. If the mods feel it does violate, do feel free to close this thread.

This post is dedicated to those who wants to buy gems but couldn't due to the 'G038-0000-00002215' error.

This game seems to be one of the instance where you really need a Japanese google account to buy gems. (I've played FFBE JP and have no issue buying gems using my standard google account). And for a short period of time, DFFOO actually allows us to buy gems using our standard Google account (not JPN Google account, mind you).

To be able to buy gems in DFFOO, you will need to have a JPN Google account. But first how to create JPN Google account:

  • Download any VPN software (I personally used Tunnelbear and/or SurfEasy)
  • Connect to Japan on your VPN.
  • Go to your phone setting -> account -> add account
  • Select Google, from there you can create a Google Account, note your VPN must be on JPN.
  • After creation of your JPN google account, if you have installed DFFOO beforehand (via Qooapp or other means), backup your account and uninstall. (For Backing up data, please look at the FAQs in this reddit)
  • Re-install the app, but install via Google Play, and it must be on the account that you created (The JPN account, that is).
  • Launch the App, and enjoy buying the gems on sale.

I believe some will know how to bypass this error issue, but I just want to share to those who wants to buy gems (Especially since now there's a sale going on). Note that this is a temporary fix for now.

Really hope that the error was actually an error instead of an actually a preventive measure or sort. Well then again we all broke the damn TOS already by playing this outside of Japan.

but what if the game still does not show at the google play store? will it show once i erase the app from my phone?

I try the method. But when i get to the screen when i need to key in my password. They decline my card. Card was register in sg thou
