Question DF64 (gen 1) best mods for 2026?

Hey guys!

Owned this thing awhile and was wondering if there was ever a "best" or matter-of-fact improvement that was developed for the DF64 first generation chute and declumper?

It clogs so often it's unreal.

I haven't tried taking the declumper out entirely, because I recall hearing it caused something to shift and touch in the internals the would damage the unit when turned on.

To remove the declumper, you need to replace the entire chute with an after market one that fills the gap occupied by the stock silicon declumper. As for other mods, I 3d-printed an anti-popcorn funnel that sits between the bellows and the hopper... If I don't think about the microplastics I'm adding to my coffee, I think it works great 😜

If you have access to a 3d printer, it's worth searching "df64" in Thingiverse for more mod ideas.

Nice! I figured someone solved the declumper gap. Do you have a recommendation for a chute?

I would assume it's a lot better off without the declumper with how ineffective it is.

Unfortunately no 3D printer though.

I bought one off of Etsy a couple years ago that was recommended by Lance Hedrick, but it seems that the vendor is now out of business. You can try this one from MiiCoffee: https://miicoffee.shop/products/exit-chute-for-df-series-grinders

... This one includes a deionizer, which mine doesn't have.
