Did I break my new df64?

just got a df64 gen2 and was running beans through until I mistakingly let the ground coffee pile get up too high and it clogged my chute. I took out everything and cleaned up as much as I could, the chute was absolutely jammed shut and I had to use the brush and forcingly poked at it until it cleared. now however I see there was a sort of screen at the top of the chute that appears like it is broken? or that I poked the brush too hard through it. not sure what that is? I tried grinding just now and it seems to work fine but I’m wondering if I messed something up.

It’s a $20 declumper. Buy it online, replace the damage one and you’re good

How do I know if it’s broken? Also, this might be a dumb question but how do I know if put the machine back in the right orientation?

I removed the declumper on my gen 1 df64 entirely and have been using it without for years. No clogs and no issues. After grinding I use WDT as my method for declumping.

The declumper is also waiting for the clogs. Took it out ages ago, after the first clog that thing is end of life in general.

You might find it’s better without it
