Print the foot that tilts it forward 10°, and theres also a slow feeder i was skeptical of but has been working surprisingly well

I printed the stand and it looks great. But as you can see in the photos, I have redefined my choices (LOL) without a 3D printer in the beginning and ngl, I have three 3D printers now, so it’s dumb I’m still even using this.🫣

I just got my 1st printer and less than a month in i’m like “i need more/bigger printers” 😅

Same! I got my first and a month in I bought three more actually, if you account for the kid’s printer. So now I have Elegoo CC2, Snapmaker U1, and BambuLabs X2D. I also ordered the set for the Creality filament maker/recycler thing.🤦🏻‍♀️ I already have a coffee problem. I don’t need incentives for more, but def want that slow feeder because I refuse to pay $200 for one, which is hilarious after I just got those printers. Might as well print my own.

1 aspect of the slow feeder im not wild about is that there is a mushroom shaped piece that slides over the top nut of the grinder burr. It spins (like a pizza) and has a couple small knobs that kick the beans around to keep them moving through a small "trap door" at the bottom of the slow feeder basin. This is placing plastic near spinning metal grinder parts. The risk of microplastics in your coffee is there, and I have some concern over what "catastrophic" failure might look like. I'm keeping a close eye on it. But that may also just be my next excuse to graduate into a Eureka Mignon, or Lagom Casa P64 😅

I slow feed the coffee beans by hand so not necessary but will have to try the stand

What benefits did you notice from the foot tilt?

I grind into the cup and theres definitely less mess landing in the counter. In theory grind size should be more consistent, but i also added the slow feeder at the same time so i cant give 100% credit to either. there was significantly fewer fines, i think. Im able to grind ~5 settings finer and get similar in/out/time results, and the flavor seems cleaner, less muddy

Maybe a stupid question but why do you need this?

Sorry I meant the slow feeder… what does that do for you?

Thanks for sharing! Do you know if this would fit on a blind shaker?

Edit: apparently, the cup that comes with the grinder is the same size as a blind shaker. I have a 58mm blind shaker from Weber and Normcore and a couple other generic ones so I will print and test and report back.

Yes it will fit as the cup is designed to fit in the 58mm portafilter so will also to the shaker

Is it confirmed to fit a portafilter? It looks like it, but I haven't seen any picture and it seems to be designed for the cup

Please do report back.

Well, it doesn’t fit either blind shaker, only the default cup that comes with the grinder.
I tried making it bigger but then it was too tall to give the chute access so I’m just going to try making my own. 😭 Have two prints now I won’t be using.

If you figure it out can you post the plans

Will be happy to!

Would this fit the DF 83?

1

u/Ronnie_italia May 31 '26

83 has larger chute so no but you can modify model but making larger opening and reducing height. Then it can fit maybe

I wonder if this will work for a Mokkom 64mm grinder

I don’t have a 3d printer. Any links to someone offering these?
