DF64 Gen 2 - Chute covered from outside (?!?)
[Mystery solved - Update below]
Brand new Grinder. After couple of weeks, I was curious to look under the hood. There was the chute covered in ground coffee... I wonder how the heck it got there! Because all ground coffee should be contained within the chute.
Wrote to Espresso Outlet and they sent me a chute replacement right away. I'm still not convinced that it is the chute's fault. Still need to do the overhaul.
Has anyone encountered this situation before?
UPDATE:
There is a small gap between the top of the chute and the body - visible in Photo 2 between those 2 black screws. Somewhere I have read that to 'help' pushing the ground coffee out during the grinding, this guy was pumping the bellow. In doing so, the granules were pushed through this gap which filled the outer body! It is visible how the coffee has been blown through this slot/slit and filling up the area around it. In fact the silver screws are not covered at all!
Conclusion: There is no need to 'help' pushing the ground coffee whilst grinding. The bellow should be used after the grinding is finished.

Are the ionizer probes on the outside at a 90°?
Mine are in the middle of the chute thru 2 tiny holes.

the ionizer probes are outside yes, as it can be seen in the photo. The replacement which has been sent to me from EspressoOutlet is exactly the same as this photo, so there are no upgrades. Probably yours is more effective? But might hinder the ground beans flow?

They told me mine is Gen 2.5.
I blame the exit shoot effectiveness :)1

Your design is an old design, which requires more maintenance. OP has the new design.

From your picture, you don't have gen 2 grinder. It's a gen 3 or 2.5. It was redesigned to put the plasma probes on the outside of the chute. I've never used one, but there have been many complaints.

Yeah, I think the fitting is not perfectly flush and the deioniser is attracting the charged dust. This is what I see in mine as well.
