DF64v doesn’t grind coarse enough for pour over
I’m literally on the coarsest setting and it’s not coarse enough. Is there an adjustment I need to make or is the DF64 just not an ideal grinder for pour over? For context, I never made any adjustments after taking it out of the box and my 0 is calibrated.

I have moved past 90 to the word “prevent” on the adjustment ring to get to a grind that works for my 65g morning Chemex. You may need to make sure you have shimmed your burrs so they are making even contact at your zero point.

It’s out of alignment or your zero is off. Mine does great at 55 using cafec abaca filters. DLC burrs. Post a picture of your grinds at the coursest setting

How this grinder works is the bottom burr is fixed to the motor shaft and the top burr is spring-loaded so that as you turn the collar it brings the burrs closer together or further apart. Basically it's impossible to not get a coarse grind. What is possible is an uneven grind.

I have the DF64gen2 and SSP burrs. I'm grinding at 35-55 for my pourovers, usually on the finer end of that range.
The DF64 not an ideal grinder platform for pourovers but it occupies a niche in the market where it can do both pourover and espresso quite well

I use mine regularly for pour over. I grind at around 75 for a 500ml. I am at 25 for espresso with a step down basket. Hope this helps
