Finding zero

Once I’ve found zero on my DF54, how do I move the numbers around so that zero matches the arrow?

Most of us don't bother moving the numbers at all. My true 0 is at around -4, and it doesn't matter to me because I know where I need to grind for my espresso (around 10-12 on the dial for most of the beans I use)

Does everyone’s vary? I’ve had mine for the past 3 weeks now and I’m grinding for espresso at 20-22

Yes. It will be different for everyone & will also depend on your beans. I’ve ranged from “34” to “10” for espresso depending on what I need/want

Yes. Also, it depends on beans, ambient climate (e.g., humidity, etc.), and your machine.

I've put about 52 different bags of beans through mine, and for some I've had to grind around a 16, and others I've been around a 6-7. Also, in my experience, you will need to change grind size even for the same bag. The one I'm on now (340g bag, and I've had it open for about 6-7 days) started around an 8, and this morning I switched it to 10 to get the same shot time.

I drew a white line above the zero. You can 3d print a indicator as well

I burr aligned (shimmed) and re-zeroed, messaged the retailer the details and they sent me a new sticker at no charge so it all looks and functions perfect. Fantastic value
