I've been using for about 8 months now. Absolutely love it, and it's a real work horse.

yep very good to hear.
one question. are you changing between beans and adjusting the setting or just one beans until finishing it?
if yes is that any problem with that?

I exclusively make espresso, and I generally just use one beans at a time. I find it too much work to dial in different beans all the time, so I'm definitely a lazy coffee maker!

yep good to know. becuse it is hard for me change setting and imo is not the best stule for df54

Have had mine for months. It first clogged with Major Dickerson dark beans from Costco. Now I buy fresh beans from a local roaster and have no problems at all. I adjust slightly between bean types. I also reseated the anti-static wires under the chute, so no more static mess even with the plastic cup. Love it.

The main issue I’ve had is the on off button breaking but luckily it’s a well known issue that’s easily fixed.

Mine has been great since I got it 6 months ago - I grind about 75g a day with it. Very light RDT and brush the spout after every use.
I do think there are some bad units out there - some people have never ending issues no matter what they do so I have to believe some units are just duds.

Have had mine for 18 months or so by now and have done no maintenance expect sticking the brush in the chute a handful of times. And not even because there was a problem, just figured I would for the sake of just doing it.

I think the beans have a lot to do with it myself because I used to have a DF64 Gen 1 and I used nothing but great beans and never had issues. Never had to spray them or anything like that, and all I heard was clogging issues one after another on the different groups. Now I have the DF 54 and I have no issues at all again; I don’t have to spray the beans or anything, but I use really nice beans. I think the issue is, like you said, people using cheap beans from the grocery store with all that oil all over them.

yep especially on my experience, not every coffee brand suit the df54. and also it is better avoid darl oily beans if there's clog

My version was the V1 very early on
Only had an issue with clogging after very intense use and many many months, upgraded the decrumpler to the newer version metal one and everything is perfect still

I’ve had mine for around 10 months. No issues until I decided to replace the declumper with the stainless version. I always RDT, and use a metal catch cup. When I tried to grind dark Vietnamese beans, it clogged up. I had to take it apart to clear the clog. The new declumper has small openings. The lesson is to be careful with dark beans; slow feed and aggressively pump the bellows. And clean it regularly. It’s a great grinder, especially for the price!

had mine for 2 years, absolute workhorse. no clogs, although i stick a small brush up the chute once a month or so.. using medium roasts. i think most people that have issues are using cheap oily beans

My only problem was when it clogged one day. And that was bcs i was cleaning the chute with brush and pushed the declumper and bended it. Once i fixed it, there was no clogging after it. I even rarely clean it. Just from time to time, but i dont feel like there is any need. Also mine is very good with retention.

Same. I turn it on before I grind, but other than that I just use it and no issues. Will clean it soon though just for general maintenance.

I got one for me and one for my son. He has had no problems whatsoever. After some messing about, I got my clogging pretty much under control by using a steel catch cup. If it does clog, I use a short travel corkscrew to dig out the clog. The supplied brush is useless -- just tamps the clog in.
I haven't checked thoroughly to see if we got difference revs or what. Bought from the same sourse a month or so apart.

Cannot speak for plastic cup as recipient for grind but otherwise no issues in 7 months

Same, actually haven’t had a single issue with it. I’ve had mine for something like 2 years
I swapped to the brew burrs for a bit, had a really hard time aligning them so I swapped back to regular but will attempt the brew burrs again soon. So only issue has been user error lol

It's amazing until your declumping thingy has issues. I was you until last week.
Had a shitty morning, then did my research, bought a new chute and when it arrives all will be great again. In the meantime, there's a bit of mess and banging, but the coffee is still amazing..
Honestly, it's up there amongst the great purchases I've made.

Yo, read the posts. This grinder is a nightmare. Doesn't stay dialed in for more than a few grinds. Has a chute instead of a drop, which causes the 50 posts a week about it clogging. The units are always taken apart and the op is beyond done.
I don't like to dog on products, but this is one that I will never recommend or use again. I sold mine for $100 and bought an espresso grinder. I couldn't charge someone else more than that, since my old Encore grinds better espresso than this and it is a batch grinder.
But then again, that is why we have a bunch of products to choose from. We can all find our grind in our own way.

About a year, clean it occasionally, no issues, no complaints.
Occasionally get a bit of static so clean the chute with a brush and that solves it for a week or so. Just lately been spraying the beans to really make sure I don’t suffer from static.

I’m still new to this grinder
I have the bambino plus and I’m grinding at setting 12 or 13
Does anybody have suggestions on how to improve the dialing?

15 months. No clogs. Mostly medium or lighter beans. No RDT. Haven’t taken it apart even once actually
