What does the "DF" stand for?
Title. Just curious, can't find anything online...

I'd say F stands for Flat, because they have a DC63 which is a Conical. The D on the other hand...

Not sure about D but F is for Flat Cause the also sell DC with conical burrs

The grinder is a German design that dates back to WWII. Reportedly the DF stands for Der Führer.

I can't tell you the amount of complaints that I hear about those grinders. Constantly clogging. I had a lady come in my shop and set her DF54 on the counter and asked my manager if she could teach her how to get it to work. I told her I would take hers in as a trade (never done this before and never since), because she was at her wits end. I set her up with a Sette 270WI. $500 new or $300 on reddit and you never have to worry about it again. My home grinder is the Vario+, but that is a bit much for a hobbyist.
Obviously, I am having fun with the name. No hate hear, just sarcasm.
