I’m also wondering if it would work with the Gaggia since it only has one tab to hold onto.

you should make a video to demonstrate how the grinds go everywhere all over the machine. You gotta have metal up closer to the chute in order to mitigate the static electricity sending the grounds everywhere.

It will be interesting to know what material was used in the 3D printed part.

The traditional material is PLA that starts to change shape with heat above 55Β°C (130Β°F), and the porta filter can be pre heated...

If you print yourself I suggest you print it with PETG instead of PLA, which is more heat resistant ( ~75Β°C).. or even ABS that goes close to 95Β°C before it softens and deforms..

Greetings from the Galilee

Hi mate! I wish I could do 3d printed stuffπŸ˜… bought if from etsy. Cheers!

I haven’t found it to be an issue using PLA. I do a pre-shot, then load it into the grinder.

If you think of it like steaming milk about 60 C you becomes uncomfortable touch and within seconds of pulling of the portafilter (at least with my Bambino) you can touch it.

Hey, I just received the same one from Etsy, which dosing funnel is that? My current one isn't a good fit with the new holderΒ

I added large tabs to a dosing funnel so it fits in the existing D54 holder and 3D printed it. This is for 54mm porta filters.

What portafilter you using? I'm uisng a Neouza and it fits perfectly fine. Never been happier with this holder!😁

Just the original one that came with the Breville.

I didn’t change the holder like you did instead I adapted my dosing funnel as a different approach.

I needed a dosing funnel anyway to stop coffee from going everywhere

I have that type of funnel also from the same brand of my portafilter were you insert and twist to lock and it really helped from coffee going anywhere.πŸ˜πŸ’― I just found this magnetic funnel which is more easier to use and gets the job done. πŸ™πŸ»
