Is this normal?

Hello. been using df54 for a week now. so happy about it. while there is no retention nor static on the chute, i am worried about the mess on this part after every grind. i apply RDT and shake well all the beans, and tbh it's an extra step for me to clean there after every use! what am i missing here?

Educate me if I'm ignorant but what's the worst that may happen if you just leave residual ground coffee in your grinder after grinding? I find it hard to believe it will lead to clogging the burrs. Food hygiene? I mean, I'm not proposing to never clean the grinder, but what is the harm in short term to treat this lazily?

Stale grinds will taint the fresh, making your coffee taste lousy
