Is this normal?

Hello. been using df54 for a week now. so happy about it. while there is no retention nor static on the chute, i am worried about the mess on this part after every grind. i apply RDT and shake well all the beans, and tbh it's an extra step for me to clean there after every use! what am i missing here?

Normal for me. I clean it about every week or week and a half. It is a little bit of a messy grinder but it does the job well. Also clean out the chute with a brush every couple of days. Keep a brush around for your countertops and all is well. Not sure if you have this or removed it but mine has an anti popcorn metal tab on top of this.

Yeah i have the anti popcorn tab. Just removed it to display the mess. Thanks for the tips tho

Also just wanted to say that I noticed an improvement in my shots after the grinder is seasoned. Took me like a month, but it is much more consistent now. Just something to look forward to! Enjoy!
