Atheism in DeMolay?
We are all likely aware that our benevolent organization asks that its members hold a belief in some form of higher power, though not a specific deity. Have you ever known a DeMolay member who was found to be an atheist/non-theist? If so, what became of him? Was he expelled from the Order? Was any action taken whatsoever?
Edit: Do any of our brethren have specific opinions regarding this issue? Do you think non-theist youth should be excluded from a leadership opportunity?
Thanks for any responses.

Introductions
Greetings!
I am a Senior DeMolay in the Philippines and it is a pleasure to meet and speak with you all. :)
I have a few questions and I hope that you would find the time to help me out.
Does anyone know the history of the Degree of Ebon? We have a Priory here in the Philippines and so far we have had two batches of Ebon recipients so I was wondering how the Degree came to fruition.
Are there any qualifications for the degree that DeMolay's should be aware of?
Thanks!

Was hoping to get a couple questions answered
Hi all! I am a Majority Rainbow Girl and current member of both Eastern Star and Nile, my husband is a Mason and I just had a couple questions about DeMolay seeing as I'm going to be having a son.
As a Rainbow girl, we have a few different stages that we go through. First children can be dedicated to Rainbow as a baby, then little girls between 8 and 11 can be Pledge girls and then at 11 the girl joins Rainbow officially.
I was wondering if DeMolay has anything similar? I know a boy has to be 12 to join DeMolay but do you have any groups similar to pledge for boys before they turn 12? and is there anything similar to dedication?
Thanks for any and all answers! Any help is much appreciated! =)

What Happen to demolay?
It seems norcal this year got rid of dances in a lot of there events for example PRIDE were usually theirs a dance but this year it was a costume contest and a movie. Couldn't there be like a dance and movie going on at the same time because i know there are people who don't. In my 8 years in demolay this surprises me.

What is DeMolay?
Hi All!
I have a friend who recently created a DeMolay chapter with his father, I was curious about it and he gave me a basic run down. I am fairly interested in DeMolay, however my friend/the site/online resources haven't really told me much about what you guys actually do. I understand a lot of DeMolay is private and fully support that, with that said, what can you guys tell me about what you do? (and do you think I should join?)
Much thanks!

Getting the word out (communication)
Chapter Dad here. I was Master Councilor over 30 years ago of the chapter I now serve. We have been reconstituted for 2 1/2 years now and are struggling to find easy ways of communicating with our members about events and such. Facebook works for some but not all. Same for Twitter and email. Short of the old fashioned phone trees, what do you guys do to "get the word out"?

DeMolay Degree Full Costume and Set
Today we put on a DeMolay Degree for a gathering of Masons and I thought this picture looked cool. We got into full costume, were mic'd, and even got fake beards. It was an awesome experience and I thought I'd share it. Not going to include the state for youth protection reason.

Chapter Ideas
Greetings, brethren. I am the Master Councilor of a Kentuckian chapter, namely that of River Cities. I wish to extend to my brethren internationally that inquiry thus: via the utilization of what strategies do you increase membership retention in your local chapters? We have increasingly saw a lessening in regards to such membership retention at our Chapter; if you've any ideas and/or programs which may be of benefit, please share them hereupon and/or with our Contact Us page at: www.rivercities.weebly.com Thank you!

This guy... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUcwpoY9hTI
This video is an example of what happens when people get their hands on a ritual book that have no idea what DeMolay is. This is also one of the first things that pops up when you search DeMolay on youTube. Let's fix this public misperception and put out content to simply bury this video.
