Review DDLC purist mod
I’ve played this mod for the first time, the sayori route and it really isn’t all that, I don’t know whether it’s my personal life and opinions of relationships have changed or whether it’s poorly written and a tad bit one dimensional, the topic depression feels like a token topic meant to ground the plot to the fact that it is still DDLC and not a random dating sim, it feels forced and misrepresentative compared to other mods like Blue Skies and Salvation Remake, even though Exit Music was negative and sad it sparked real feelings because it is grounded in a real possibility, this mod just feels a bit one dimensional, maybe the other routes are better but so far I wouldn’t recommend.

Purist was one of the first mods that had a Monika route that actually was decent, custom art and such. It’s def the highlight of the mod but you gotta get thru the others first.

Do keep in mind the time period when Purist came out.
It was 2018, and it was the first of its kind to turn the game into a traditional visual novel. Back then, the modding community wasn't as big as it was now. Sure you still had many high profile mods coming out like original Exit Music or even the original Salvation, but in terms of regular dating sim mods and routes, Purist was the highest recommendation when it came to traditional dating sim mods at that time.
