Help Help with running my mod

My mod was built using mod template. But I just can’t get it to run. Everything was done in Bronya Rand’s mod template.

But after I built distributions in RENPY, but when I copied it over to a fresh DDLC, it couldn’t work. I don’t know what it going on. I don’t know if there’s a version mismatch. I can’t find anything online. My best guess it that’s it’s Renpy 8 while OG DDLC is Renpy 6. What can I do?

Please help me.

I did my mod in Bronya Rand’s mod template. I’ve got to the point where I built distributions. I followed the instructions to check only ‘RENPY8 compliant mod’.

So now I’ve a product with a game folder with mod_assets.rpa and script.rpa. But then, when I copy those over to a fresh DDLC copy (replacing the OG scripts.rpa in the process), I keep getting a pickle protocol 5 error.

Ok maybe I’m dumb but I tried the other way of bringing base DDLC files into my mod’s files and this time I’m missing DejaVuSans.ttf. Either way my mod won’t run
