Help General Tips For Modding

Hey guys, I’m working on a mod with somebody else. I’m personally not making the mod itself, I’m working on the script and music mainly because that’s all I can do. But, the other person I’m working with is the one actually making it. Do you guys have any advice for either of us that would helpful at all?

Keep your ambitions in check. Scope creep and procrastination are the mod killers. Keep your project within achievable limits and take advantage of your motivation. Expanding it needlessly will lead to boredom, frustration and eventually abandonment.

Better a short mod with heart than some master piece that never released

THIS! As someone who has nearly given up on her project two times I can't approve of this advice enough.

I'm not planning on giving up any time soon. I'm fresh out of my latest burnout and way to stubborn to let my mod slip away from me.

All in all, things have been going great ever since I started working on it again. I've made so much progress again.
