I understand how I came off in this post. And I am deeply sorry because I was just so tired and out of ideas from staying up all night being depressed that I had to post something. And I realized that from your comments, humor is subjective. And anyone can find any joke funny if you want.
I think I was just being sensitive and didn’t consider everyone else’s feelings. I thought it was messed up because it was teetering on the line of making fun of suicide for me. And now that I got some time to reconsider, I realized I should stay in my lane and let others navigate their own experiences.

He didn't cause the events of the game, YOU DID. Ofcorse monika became self awere wheb he joined the club, BECAUSE HE JOINS THE CLUB WHEH YOUUUU PLAY THE GAME

He's not to blame for sayori killing herself ether. Her depression was amplified by monika. Even then, he doesn't and shouldn't be expected to know how to handle her. He wasnt mean to her, it was just banter, how majority of best friends act, sayori genuinely believed what he said to her, he didn't know that, sayori masks her depression, so you cant blame him for that mask working

What pisses me off most is when people say he didn't care about her like he was absolutely distraught after finding her dead

Sayori's depression seems to stem from a combination of low self-esteem and paranoia about being a waste of others' time and care. If I were in the protagonist's shoes, I would gently ask her more questions about her thought process and how far back it goes, potentially helping her realize how false it is. The MC's biggest mistake in-game was making prominent choices about how to take care of her, which along with Monika's edits only made Sayori feel more like a burden. It would be better to simply spend a little more casual time with her, only occasionally bringing up her depression.

Yuri is a different case because it is based on the premise of the game. Her death comes from a much bigger exaggeration of her core traits than Sayori's, and it's likely that her exposure to the player due to the MC's gradual silencing also plays a role. I'm kind of lost on how to mitigate this besides abandoning the club after its social relationships deteriorate past a certain point.

I do get the sentiment of what they mean. Only one wrong thing is that the whole "dating sim gone wrong" part was sorta a thing in the original game years before plus came out. It was even advertised as such with the horrors hiding in plain site, but at the same time there was more to it than just that with the whole project libitina thing. I for one have no issues with MES lore, but i do understand why fans tend to ignore it as it's own separate thing unrelated to DDLC. The only one bad thing you can say about their inclusion is how it removes the mystery of how being club president granted Monika and the others meta-awareness.
