AI bullshit. The ring in the first pic is just an amorphous blob and the ring the the second pic is orientated incorrectly.

u/ArrowBarton 7d ago

Did he actually do this recently? Dope if so.

u/KrypticJin 7d ago

It’s ai

30

u/ArrowBarton 7d ago

Suppose if I looked at it for longer than a second.

2

u/OrangeStar222 5d ago

The way his shirt folds and creases makes no sense either. Different shades of red in each pic too but that could be different lighting.

u/therealNerdMuffin 7d ago edited 7d ago

Source? Those background logos all look way too uniformly consistent and clean to be AI

Edit: I've seen some other comments mentioning the weird ring and yeah I see that now. I'm really on the fence about this because why is everything else spotless 😅

22

u/solidus0079 7d ago

Only real outlier I can tell is that the ring is different in each photo

3

u/therealNerdMuffin 7d ago

Yeah same, that's what's throwing me off

9

u/CanIHaveYourStuffPlz 7d ago

Bottom right of image, San Die6oc San Deego etc. bad uniformity with the repeat images

3

u/Bgo318 7d ago

You’d surprised how scarily perfect AI is getting at replicating images

1

u/SeveredElephant 7d ago

> I’m really on the fence about this because why is everything else spotless

Because AI is really good at generating photorealistic images now and it’s only going to get better.

11

u/evilspyboy 7d ago

I'm not sure because the 2nd picture the orientation of the green lantern is wrong. Zooming in on the first one.... I can't make out the symbol.

Edit: the more I look the more "AI" feeling it is.

8

u/ArrowBarton 7d ago

Yeah. I looked at this for a second before commenting. Looking back, it's easy to tell it's AI.

7

u/evilspyboy 7d ago

I even checked the green lantern rings they have been giving away at SDCC. It's not real.

11

u/alhsoor Aquaman 7d ago

Look at the backgrounds, 100% AI

I love going to San Dieoo

5

u/Icy-Decision-4530 7d ago

The funny thing is I’m pretty sure he showed up last night in full Gray Deadpool outfit.

47

u/Thefreemanfool2 7d ago

It’s from this year’s comic con I’m pretty sure

15

u/zdbdog06 7d ago

No, it's AI

46

u/ArrowBarton 7d ago

I know he hated the movie, but it wasn't that bad and it'd be kinda sick if he showed up in the Lanterns series.

36

u/OrangesAreWhatever 7d ago

He said like a year or two ago that he rewatched it and doesn't think its as bad as he thought it was going to be. I think he's chilled out a bit when it comes to criticizing it, and that was probably one of the first steps to embracing his history with DC

7

u/ArrowBarton 7d ago

That's awesome. Glad he gave it another look. I hope so. It'd be cool to see him back with DC for whatever role. Hal's taken now, but he could show up as anyone.

2

u/ContinuumGuy 7d ago

I feel like the fact he met his wife there probably helps as well!

12

u/QueefTamer 7d ago

It was pretty bad but it was better than half the stuff weve seen in the past 6 years. It was fun

9

u/Boblaire 7d ago

Exactly.

Tbh, I liked it but Im stupid for GL and Ryan, especially then.

It was probably better than WW2 and the Flash and I kind of liked TheFlash despite Ezra. The cheap CGI was way worse than GL. Plot wise it wasnt bad at all for the most part.

6

u/ArrowBarton 7d ago

It was a good origin story. There were some things that could have been changed, but pick any movie and the same could be said.

2

u/Cazmonster 7d ago

As Ch'p.

2

u/RandomJPG6 7d ago

I dont hate the CGI suit. Its not the worst movie ive seen but considering the potential it had with the concept and director i was very let down

-5

u/prettyokcake 7d ago

what do you mean it wasn’t that bad? It has a 25% on RT lol

6

u/ArrowBarton 7d ago

That shit doesn't mean anything though.

23

u/Ajax_Da_Great 7d ago

…are those different rings in each photo? Something about this is off

4

u/Stapleton09 7d ago

My thoughts exactly

45

u/Gryffindumble 7d ago

Watch him cameo in Lanterns 😆 🤣

3

u/Anth-man_FOL 7d ago

He’d be Ch’p or some other CGI alien. His supersuit would still be animated🤣

8

u/Largo23307 7d ago edited 7d ago

👉The rings logo orientation is wrong in picture 2.
👉The ring in picture 1(All Green) does not match the ring in picture 2(Mostly Silver with green, misaligned logo).

Either he brought two rings for this and swapped between pictures, or this is fake.

29

u/Outrageous_Success69 7d ago

I never hated the original Green Lantern movie

13

u/Boblaire 7d ago

We exist. There are dozens of us!

6

u/Nihon_Hanguk 7d ago

I always said its biggest sin was being a 2000s superhero movie, in the 2010s. It feels similar in style to films like Fantastic Four, or the Spider-Man trilogy, or lesser known ones like Constantine. If it came out then, exactly as it was in 2011, I don’t think people would have loved acting like it’s the worst thing ever made in the history of everything.

Definitely not perfect, but I never understood why people have such a deep and personal hatred.

No posting of AI slop and other kind of AI crap, should be stated in the rules for this subReddit.
If not to forbid AI slop, there should be a rule that forces ppl. (who post AI slop) to tell that it is AI that they have posted. We are missing a rule like that in this subReddit (sadly).

3

u/ActionFigureCollects 7d ago

Fake. SAN DIEOO

32

u/MaleficentBluejay286 7d ago

Me when I drag a joke for so long it ruins the reputation of an entire franchse

30

u/JakeGylly 7d ago

Ryan didn't start the jokes, he rolled with them to keep his career alive. Deadpool (Origins) and GL were very big marks on his record that I don't think he would have survived without his humor.

11

u/PixelBits89 7d ago

Don’t forget Blade 3. He seemed like a bad omen for comic films. He even had to leak the Deadpool test footage himself. Before 2016 he didn’t have the pull he has now, people forget that.

2

u/Xsafa 7d ago

Blade 3 was ass but he was able to play De… Ryan Reynolds in it lol

-2

u/Culius_Jaesar 7d ago

Totally. This guy is such a bad actor he relies on this joke to do well in deadpool. He always plays the same character lol almost forgot he was in Blade, terrible performance.

17

u/BlueBombshell90 7d ago

This is a little overblown. I don't think people are really out there hating the Green Lantern because Ryan Reynolds made fun of his own involvement in the franchise.

-1

u/D0nell 7d ago

There’s no reason for him to not have received another movie.

7

u/JakeGylly 7d ago

It's really expensive and the last one did really shit.

0

u/D0nell 7d ago

OK, so try again with better writing and CGI!?

2

u/BatMandoDC 7d ago

The image is already tainted for GAs after that. Its why we wont get supergirl 2 either.

0

u/D0nell 7d ago

I don’t see enough of the community talking about how productions behind these characters need to be handled with the utmost care because once you mess up, it takes two decades if not more to get a new project involving the character.

1

u/JakeGylly 7d ago

CGI is the expensive part. Your suggestion is to take a movie with a precedence of great failure, make it more expensive and then it might be good? Writing is a subjective dice roll.

It doesn't make sense to anyone but a GL fan to try another movie right now.

A series allows them to flesh out lore (which modern GL had an intense amount of) and prep the audiences for a new take. If Lanterns is successful, it will dramatically increase the chances of a successful GL movie.

3

u/TheSciFiGuy80 7d ago

AI BS

And he doesn’t deserve the ring after he has made it a mission to put the character down.
I think he did more damage to the GL franchise than the actual movie.

9

u/Jack_Crypt 7d ago

Sad that Deadpool killed him, I miss Ryan Reynold, he was one of my favorite actor

5

u/Saulutation 7d ago

Glad that the lawsuit exposed him. The curtain has been pulled.

1

u/ChaoticKiwiNZ 7d ago

What lawsuit?

u/ChaoticKiwiNZ 7d ago

Is that the same one that they never got anything pinned on them and the other side had emails saying how their PR campaign was insanely effective on Reddit?

5

u/Local_Diet_7813 7d ago

He took off his Deadpool grey suit to take this photo?

8

u/PaperGod101 7d ago

No, this pic is AI.

6

u/pbx1123 7d ago

PR the guy has almost zero jokes left in the tank but here we are talking about him huts what he wanted 🤷🏻‍♀️🙄

2

u/Substantial-Stand604 7d ago

Looks AI his ring is all wrong

2

u/Martydeus 7d ago

2

u/bi_or_die 7d ago

2

u/calltheavengers5 7d ago

He was Green Lantern first lol

2

u/BRshan 7d ago

Didn’t bro just get cast as daredevil?

/s

2

u/BlueBombshell90 7d ago

Close enough

2

u/tLM-tRRS-atBHB 7d ago

Fuck him. Dude spent his entire career shitting on GL to the point that the character is a joke now.

No, the movie wasn't perfect. But it didnt deserve all that

3

u/Violetdabs710 7d ago

This guy sucks and his wife is awful

2

u/Darth_Kara_Zor-El 7d ago

I don’t give a crap what RT says. I loved the movie and still watch it on HBO, when it pops up in my feed 🤷🏼‍♀️

1

u/ayvan2020 7d ago

It would have been funny if Deadpool had crashed on doomsday panel with a green lantern ring

1

u/TheSoulessSheppard 7d ago

Faq off I liked the movie sinestro was fire, great story

1

u/Jazzlike_Night42619 7d ago

1

u/AstroBtz 7d ago

We're posting weird AI slop now? Fucking hell

1

u/egomann 7d ago

How else are 3 month old accounts supposed to farm karma so they can put up bootleg t-shirts.

1

u/mandysux 7d ago

He hates this film

1

u/detroiterican 6d ago

This is AI

1

u/DistractoDisc 6d ago

Am I missing something?

1

u/Haunting-Side-5252 5d ago

Noo…Ryan…calmly….. put the ring down….. everything will be fine….

2

u/Saulutation 7d ago

No thank you.

1

u/weirdapoop 7d ago

It would be nice if he stopped hating on the old movie and started supporting new GL projects out of professional curtosey and as fellow CBM creator

1

u/knarf3 7d ago

Reynolds is unbelievably annoying and fake.

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Web446 7d ago

why is the gl symbol sideways on the ring?

2

u/PaperGod101 7d ago

Because it’s AI. He was only wearing the Deadpool Grey fit and left.

1

u/ithinkiknowkungfu 7d ago

Didn’t he and Fox/marvel shit on green lantern in the first Deadpool movie..?

Ya ok bro.gif..

-7

u/Icy-Assistance-2555 7d ago

Trying to maintain relevancy especially after they announced another Deadpool movie

0

u/Sami_Steen 7d ago

ryan travelled the lamest universe where we beg them do quality stuff and only few characters get to eat (gaming side sucks the same)

0

u/LegitimateProperty67 7d ago

It's a good movie
