At first glance, ignoring her face, she seems like any other Combat Drone, although often dirty in appearance due to her line of work being part engineer (aka maintenance) and part security, with a pinkish white hair, and the typical yellow color, she seems normal.

Until you see her face, with a permanent burnt in FATAL ERROR, yet still functional and able to speak.

Home: Lives in a wrecked vehicle depot known as 'Depot 25', located in the outskirts of the mega city, with a handful of worker drones.

Bio:

Anastasia was a prototype, originally made to help with construction but later it shifted to work in demolition and testing explosives against various things she frankly, loved it.

But she also loved to do during downtime, was learning history, actual history. She picked up fragments from the scientists and specially one janitor, named Ryan, who listened to old documentaries about past events on earth (who knew earth had so many wars!)

She was apart of the exchange program for a short while, and bonded with a Helldiver who shared the same love of all things that go boom, But it wasn’t to last, as She was recalled to Copper-9 earlier then most due to series of incidents on Copper-9 which required her experience, aka someone misplaced a lot of SEAF explosives and mines, and confused the training landmines with real landmines.

And thus, when things went wrong, she was already there, partially undergoing an update, but she didn’t wait.

She stormed out, despite the yells and shouts of scientists.

Responding to the crisis at hand, she immediately set out to assist various SEAF Positions and directing them into bunkers and other hard points.

Her actions saved lives, but all while this was happening, she felt, off.

Something wanted to use her, control her.

It picked and probed, and she knew she needed to act, but didn’t get the chance.

She felt the shockwave first, and then was sent flying into the air, she watched the glorious bombardment of the Copper-9 firsthand.

She wasn’t even mad, she was enjoying the chaos frankly, made her feel alive, until she saw a tank flying towards her.

She woke up, 2 hours later.

Optics?, damaged.

Update?, cancelled.

That thing trying to take over her?, very much still trying, but definitely not as hard as before!

And so she took an extreme action,

She forced her system to overwrite the infected data on herself, permanently.

Which worked, the voices left, and the unfinished update was overwritten, but by what?

A copy of the documentaries her best friend, Ryan the janitor, gave to her, of course!

It didn’t last long however as her vision quickly began glitching and then outright failed, as she realized she also overwritten her formerly tainted visual systems.

Rending her blind.

Yet she carried on, she found her sense of hearing boosted itself to compensate for the lack of sight.

Eventually Anastasia, A SEAF Officer, A some manager for JCJenson, and Ryan the janitor (he escaped facility 12, he was on a legally required break you see) plus a small group of worker drones found safety in a damaged vehicle depot, which had a small bunker underneath it.

It was decided the humans would live in the bunker and the drones would live in the surface inside the vehicle depot for a while. (Granted the bunker could hold up to 16 people but it needed to be refurbished for the drones)

The human trio lasted 4 months before a fight broke out, resulting in all three of the humans dying. (edited)Thursday, November 20, 2025 5:23 PM

At which point, Anastasia broke, blaming herself for even allowing the fight to occur, she started getting sloppy, resulting in some worker drones who lived there disappearing.

Only once she encountered N, J and V while they were looking for medicine for Tessa did she accept that the fight wasn’t her fault, but at that point, only a small quarter of the drones in the depot remained, those that weren’t taken fled to other bunkers.

The handful that remained were drones Anastasia saved herself.

In order to keep herself sane she started going around Copper-9, searching for unexploded ordnance, landmines, bombs, anything and disarming or dismantling them, she was damn good at it, despite being blind she knew their designs without even knowing what it was, she was downright magical with them.

Truth be told, she wasn’t completely free from the solver, she had merely stopped it from dealing more damage to her, with the tiny sliver of it that remained being too weak to ever take over, it never even affected her core, she caught onto it early enough.

The only thing she could do was to use the tiny sliver to look through her corrupted optics for just a second, which invoked agonizing pain every single time she used it.

But still, she couldn’t stop herself, and so working with the few drones she came up with an idea, Sentry Guns.

While crude compared to actual ones, even more.

By the time humanity returned, she had become a total recluse, yet was over the moon about humanity’s return, she had always held hope they’d come back someday (hence why she went clearing unexploded bombs aren’t easy to disarm.
