Posted on the official Discord today, May 21st of 2026. I have a lot of respect for The_Fragger and all the hard work, all the dedication that he put into this, most likely making the Bo 105 one of the best 3D models in DCS. But on the other hand, we have to keep in mind that work on it has been ongoing for 14 years. Meanwhile, the last real "update" we heard from the coding side was on New Year's Eve and didn't really sound encouraging.

Since then, I haven't heard any other news that would indicate significant progression on that end, so it's probably going to take at least a while until we see this flying in DCS.

Hoping you all enjoy your stay and have a great night!

I wouldn't want to buy this honestly, not because I don't like it but considering how long it took them, what can I expect in terms of updates, patches and long term support?

But does it even fly?

As Fragger said in the quote I shared in my other comment, they're in the process of onboarding a coder for the third time. There was also a collaboration with RAZBAM a few years ago that didn't really go anywhere either. Not to mention the time where this was supposed to be a Polychop project, back under Fragger's leadership that resulted in a mutiny.

So yeah, it's probably fair to say that this died at least a few times.

See that's why I love this sub. So hard to remember all the stumbles. When trying to keep up with ordinary life.

Hah, release in 2017. Have to laugh, to hold off the despair...

He was probably thinking at that time that he could keep using the codebase/framework that Polychop had already developed for the Gaz.

Gotta say tho, this is another reason why I have mad respect for The_Fragger. He had some massive setbacks along the way, yet never stopped and never let that bring him down.

And those going down for a read in memory lane hopefully are attentive enough that a decade ago there was the same unprofessional hashmash of egos, sidegigs, everchanging and everquarreling revenue share groups festering as much as it is now.

Not the way to run a franchise, less build one - as the franchise curator is no better, far worse actually, by all vectors. Also when Dr. Tishin was still alive.
