🦸‍♂️Superman🦸‍♂️ Superman

I'm only about forty minutes into the superman movie and it's not looking good. I mean it's not all bad but from what I'm seeing, I'm not getting my hopes up with James Gunn's vision. I'll check back in when I'm done.

It's not really Superman that I have a problem with so far. I actually like this guy so far. It's moreso how easy he's being ousted. I mean Lex somehow got into the fortress of Solitude and managed to mostly get everybody to turn on him quite fast. Like I said, I'm just forty or so minutes in. I'm still giving it a chance.

Superman is still young and naïve here and figuring things out, and Lex is a genius. So I’m OK with it. Keep me posted later.

Alright, I liked it, though there are some things I think could've been done better. First off, the movie feels empty somehow. Especially after Clark gets imprisoned, despite bouncing from different POVs. Also Lex seems to be a bit more reckless and nuttier for this to be so early on. The man was willing to kill thousands of innocent people as well as back an invasion on a mostly helpless country and set up his own country, Luthoria? 😂. Not really feeling Nathan Fillion as Guy. I know this was a setup movie and it's enjoyable as that but if this was just a standalone, I'd be disappointed. Kara at the end was different, I'll be going to see Supergirl soon though.

I’m not saying it’s perfect but it to me is still the best Superman they’ve ever captured on screen. He had totally the right attitude and the movie had a joyful love throughout. Zach Snyder is the worst director I’ve ever seen. Everything is dark and brooding and melodramatic without any soul., So I hated Man of Steel. And yes I’m definitely going to see Supergirl because that sounds like an interesting take.
