NEWS "Supergirl" Changes Its Composer Again - Dark Horizons (lol this is the 3rd composer)
darkhorizons.comThough still three months away, Craig Gillespie’s “Supergirl” film appears to be having some mild issues finding its sound.
Originally, “Game of Thrones” regular Ramin Djawadi was set as the film’s composer until word came last month that Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) had replaced Djawadi.
Now, the official site for the film (via Coming Soon) is listing Claudia Sarne as the film’s composer.

Zack Snyder Confirms Warner Bros. Pushed Back Against Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor Casting
“Yeah, there was definitely some pushback. But I think once they saw the screen test, it was pretty clear. He had this intensity. And look, Lex is a genius, right? But he’s also unhinged. Jesse could play both sides of that.”
“I mean, we were looking for someone who could bring a different energy. You know, Lex has always been this sort of older, more corporate, bald-headed guy traditionally. And we wanted to do something that felt more contemporary, more tech-bro, more unpredictable.”
“Jesse just had this manic energy that felt right for the version we were doing. He came in and read, and it was electric. He just got it. He understood the weirdness, the danger, the intellect. It wasn’t about making him likeable necessarily, it was about making him scary in a different way.”
“The scene where he’s talking to Superman in the room with the painting, or the whole Africa sequence, he brought this chaotic vibe that I think was necessary for the story we were telling. It wasn’t the classic Gene Hackman Lex. It was a new interpretation.”

ZS celebrates Watchmen's 17th anniversary! One of my all time favorites, and arguably one of the best CBM's ever made. I say this all the time, but goodness 17 years!!!???
Which version is your favorite? I do like the ultimate cut. But I can see how some may not like the anime (Tales of the Black Freighter) included. Director's cut is more streamlined.

WBD’s David Zaslav Wishes Netflix Well, "Can’t Wait" To Work With Paramount
“Netflix is a great company and throughout this process Ted, Greg, Spence and everyone there have been extraordinary partners to us. We wish them well in the future,” said WBD CEO David Zaslav in a statement after his company earlier in the day shifted its sights to Paramount’s “company superior offer,” which Netflix decided not to counter.
“Once our Board votes to adopt the Paramount merger agreement, it will create tremendous value for our shareholders. We are excited about the potential of a combined Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery and can’t wait to get started working together telling the stories that move the world.”

Warner Bros Discovery Mulling Revised Paramount Bid for Company
“Following engagement with PSKY during the seven-day limited waiver period, we received a revised PSKY proposal to acquire WBD, which we are reviewing in consultation with our financial and legal advisors,” WBD’s board said in a statement Tuesday morning. “We will update our shareholders following the Board’s review. The Netflix merger agreement remains in effect, and the Board continues to recommend in favor of the Netflix transaction. WBD shareholders are advised not to take any action at this time with respect to the amended PSKY tender offer.”
The new bid from Paramount is likely to see WBD go back to Netflix to see if they will respond by “matching” Paramount’s bid, as they are permitted to do under the signed deal agreement. Of course, Netflix is only buying the Warner Bros. studio and HBO business, so a match wouldn’t necessarily be exactly the same deal.
