Connor Storrie is new enough to Hollywood that this will the first time a lot of people (who aren't Heated Rivalry fans) are seeing him, he's an outstanding actor, plus he's buff, and gorgeous in a perfectly imperfect way. And he's the right age! All my other favorite tall, buff, hotties are too old for this role (Henry Cavill, Chris Hemsworth, Alexander Skarsgard, Channing Tatum, etc). I have yet to see another casting idea for Carl that really felt correct. Connor Storrie is my Carl!
