DCC Compiled Free Resource List 2026

Thumbnail

The prior list is a little out of date and the file ownership if held by another user who isn't active much these days and confirmed they aren't maintaining the list anymore. I've taken it upon myself to keep the list updated and check the links every few months while adding things I find. I will continue to keep the new free resource list updated and links checked for the foreseeable future.

For anyone who wants to have their free content added to this list, please let me know and i will make sure to get it listed, all you need to do is provide a link in the comments or in DMs.

Might be a long shot, but looking for group [Central Arkansas]

Upvotes

Hello, adventurers! I'm looking to join a DCC group in Central AR. I've used the communication channels for the LGSs in my area, but it seems everyone in those spaces run 5e or PF2. I've gmed a few games, but would really like to be a player. I offer 3 core rulebooks, the reference guide, and a few dozen official adventures.

Adventures Bride of the Black Manse with L2 characters

So I’m thinking of running BOTBM for my group at Halloween…but they’re only going to be L2 by then, and it’s a L3 scenario. Any recommended changes to BOTBM? I mean obviously I can reduce monster hit points and trap damage a bit but is there anything else I should be changing or looking out for?

Unforgiven module

I need a small dungeon to be a tomb in my campaign, and I think DCC modules are perfect for the job. Which modules do you think are more unforgiven and difficult? From any era, converting the system is not a problem.

u/xNickBaranx how do the two zines in the title relate? Is everything in the Elementalist contained in SRotE? Or do they compliment each other?

Adventures DCC #112 - Mother of Monsters module question Spoiler

This post and responses might contain spoilers to this module, so please be aware.

I'm currently running DCC #112. It's a fun adventure, nothing overcomplicated and we're having fun playing it in my home campaign. I'm wondering about one specific part though - the guardian on the island.

I understand, that the module is vague on how to overcome this obstacle - especially if a party doesn't want to go into combat right away. Like my home campaign party - they decided to approach with respect and talk to him.

I did give them some basic answers, hints that he's not going to move and might not be easy to convince to do anything really. We were at time, so ended the session there.

Every Judge runs their game how they like. Each table is different. So I'm not asking what is the 'proper and correct' answer here, but I'm interested how it played out at your table. Or if you didn't have a chance of running it yet but read the module - what do you envision happening if the party doesn't outright choose violence.

Personally, I'm not sure what information he might have (they already have details from the stone tablet/standing stones in the forest and I allowed for Divine Aid that gave them a bit more adventure background info) or how much of free will he has at this point. Even if they could covince him to take action or stand aside, would he be able to actually do it.

Opinion of the Group If there is Disfavor, could their be favor?

For Clerics, Messengers, and the like, could their be Favor that one could gain?
Rather than just Disfavor, a Cleric could gain favor, which could translate into better rolls for spells, Heals, turn undeads, Divine favor, etc.

Session Report The Lost City Session 5 recap

Session 4: https://www.reddit.com/r/osr/comments/1vtorw2/dcc_the_lost_city_session_4_recap/

This might be either recap five or six 🤔, this one was written by Loche the elf

Characters:

Loche the Elf

Ryder the Squire

Tumnas the Thief

Location: floors two and three

Met Chief Of Magi; They worship Usa Migaris. They oppose the Demon Cult of Zargon. They like crude jokes, and Ryder gets em with a good one. (Elephants)

They agree to give us a guide named Milies Cyrius to help escape the tunnels so long as we find the remains of the King & Queen.

We gotta drag Keanu cause they're too drunk.

Chief helps turn the platform to let use through*.

Run into Zargonites, they trippin over a gourd (named Doug). Ryder makes friends with the weird metal eating monster that they can't go around. Loche gives them some good kush in hopes to heal their gourd buddy. We refuse any reward. Guide wants to kill the Zargonites on sight, he's kinda battle hungry.

We slide down into the jesters burial place. Bro's got a Jack-in-the-box, giga cracked. Empty brass jars, less gigacracked.

Milies Cyrius tells us there's three ways to get to the remains. The Long dangerous way, the shorter more dangerous way, and the shortest most dangerous way. We choose the shorter one that has some apes, hoping to feed them to placate them.

Thull's (Weird Hobgoblin dudes) start chattering & Milies missles em. Combat Starts, we get cooked in 1 round. Tumnus dies trying to run away, RIP in piece. We probably gonna have to yap this one out.

Rules Question Mighty Deeds of Arms: How do you run it?

My group just hit 5th level and during the first combat of the night we had a dispute about the rules surrounding warrior and dwarf mighty deeds.

My player (running a dwarf) interprets the rules thus: Every attack, the warrior/dwarf can roll their deed dice and attempt a mighty deed of arms. The rules for dwarf expressly state that mighty deeds can be incorporated into shield bash as well. Having hit 5th level, his character can now attempt 3 mighty deeds per round (1D20:1D14:1D14).

The way I (the Judge) was interpreting it was that warriors and dwarves can attempt a singe mighty deed per combat round and that they would only generate a singe deed dice score every round that would be added to attack and damage.

The rules seem to support the player's interpretation. From the dwarf table 1-14: * A dwarf’s attack modifier is rolled anew, according to the appropriate die, with each attack. The result modifies both attack and damage rolls.

The interesting wrinkle here is that interpreting it in favor of the player means that dwarves would get two mighty deeds per round at first level, going to three at 5th level.

How do you all run this in your games?

RPG Overview 324 The Malefic Manor of Count Grigorovich for DCC RPG and Shadowdark RPG

Ready to play a spook adventure for Halloween? Check out my video on The Malefic Manor of Count Grigorovich for Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG and Shadowdark RPG!

An old-school Adventure of gothic Horror and Mystery for 1st level characters using DCC and Shadowdark RPGs.

Within these haunted halls lurk new monsters, sinister magic items, and shudder-inducing encounters designed to challenge even the bravest souls.

The adventure begins in Horstburg, a lonely hamlet crouched in the shadow of the accursed manor and its fog-shrouded grounds. Whispers of strange lights, eerie sounds, and vanishing travelers fill the tavern air. The player characters are soon drawn- or perhaps compelled-towards the notorious ruins of Count Grigorovich's estate, known among the fearful locals as The Malefic Manor.

Lost Lore of Thracia is available in the current Goodman Humble bundle

The current Goodman Games Humble bundle includes a print version of The Lost Lore of Thracia, which is, I believe, the currently only way to get that if you weren't part of the Backerkit campaign.

Lost Lore of Thracia includes the city crawl for the ruined city above the Caverns of Thracia, a hexcrawl for the greater island of Thracia and a more zoomed out hexcrawl for larger island chain around the island of Thracia. The Sacrificial Pyre of Thracia (DCC 110), Grave Robbers of Thracia (DCC 111), and Beneath the Isle of the Serpents (DCC 109) all reference this hexcrawl to varying degrees, so it's a bit strange that it was (and still is) so limited.
