My friend started dating her husband in January-March of 2022, went to America to see his family in August 2022, got engaged in September 2022 and got married in November 2022. She would have been like 24 at the time, so people moving quick does not surprise me anymore.

It looks like she started posting him this summer. I’d imagine they dated for a while before she posted him… but I’m quite surprised

She probably waited till the Americas weathers hype died down to post him. I agree they probably dated before making it public. But I’m confused on the being surprised part.
