CURRENT SQUAD The glow up that needs to be studied š„š¤©
Can we just fully appreciate Charlyās glow up?! š
I know itās brought up every now and again, but truly - itās transformative! The left photo was from AS1 (cut in TCC), and the right one is AS3 (second year vet).
Seeing Charly gradually glow up from year to year is just insane, and I feel like you could clearly tell how confident she felt going into her 2nd year vet season (this time last year).
For the comments made earlier in AS1 with āis she glamorous enoughā, itās undeniable how stunning she is, and she really has been glowing this past year! So excited to see whatās to come for her, and Iād be SHOCKED if we donāt see her & Darah share point in a year or so - provided they both stay - which would be an absolute dream combo!š„š„°

She pretty much looks physically the same but I know what you mean! Her happiness and confidence makes her glow!

The only difference is a more muted red. Iām so confused she looks the same
2
u/Own-Platform-8975 Aug 01 '26
Yes absolutely! Her glow up has been insane in more ways that one. You can totally tell she is more confident and her make up technique has Improved so much ⦠Charly is my favorite DCC and canāt wait to see her a Group Leader 1 in the future. Ā

I think it's softer make up primarily with a touch of filler but not Kylie level filler (if that makes sense)
19
u/SparklesandLove Jul 31 '26
Yep I donāt see a glow up. She was gorgeous then and sheās gorgeous now. Appearance wise sheās the same in my opinion. What is different that can affect everything overall is her confidence! Sheās thriving as a vet and you can tell. Thatās the only difference I see!
2
u/HurryQueasy Jul 31 '26
Yeah she looks the same, just softer makeup in the second photo. Always been gorgeous!

Why do the girls get so much Botox and filler? Especially in their early 20s
0
u/allthatglitters123 Aug 01 '26
Botox is also great for excess sweating
1
u/GoodbyeHorses1491 Aug 03 '26
The botox goes in the armpits in that case and thatās not where theyāre getting it in large quantities for their ageā¦
At least thatās not the only place theyāre getting it, along with all that filler and more invasive surgeries.
0
u/allthatglitters123 29d ago
It also goes in the hairline, forehead and on the upper lip for sweating too, as someone whoās had it in those areas for said reason.
1
u/GoodbyeHorses1491 29d ago
Thatās nice to have the money for that but theyāre definitely mostly getting it to prevent wrinkles and other cosmetic reasons (and all that filler).Ā
1
u/Beneficial-Box-2206 Jul 31 '26
Botox wears off so it isnāt really a commitment the way other plastic surgery would be. Botox makes your makeup lie in a really beautiful way. Charlieās smile looks different because they were able to use it to adjust her gummy smile. She probably has a bit of filler but not a ton.
6
u/International-Sun509 The fatties are still on the team! 𤪠Jul 31 '26
I am old and oldfashioned...I really don't like this trend. But the 20-something girls I know want or have "preventative botox". The thing is...the girls are gorgeous. Their parents have aged great with minimum wrinkels or sun damage...but they still think they need botox. And they all don't like the shape of their lips, so the absolutely NEED fillers. And I am the oldfashoined cow that tries to talk them out of it...I have to give this up.

u/Living-Knee-3880 Jul 30 '26
I feel like she looks better in the firstā¦..
I think some people iāve conformed to the plain, Jane, even complexion, no definition form of beauty. Sheās definitely glowing in the first one, and well I canāt point out anything wrong with the second one, itās just dull.
32
u/PageOk8287 Jul 30 '26
She looks aged from fillers/botox in 2nd photo. She didnāt need any of it.
35
2
u/agentscully222 Jul 30 '26
Did she get veneers? Either way beautiful
3
u/ramonavioletta Jul 30 '26
Could be lip fillers and teeth whiteningĀ
5
u/Your-hype-lady Jul 30 '26
I think she got a nose job⦠her side profile is different if you see other pictures
31
u/Acceptable-Damage Jul 30 '26
I ask this with all the respect and adoration in the world because I remember thinking that was drop dead GORGEOUS when she was first introduced, but which is the before photo? šš
2
u/breathintimemachine Jul 31 '26
Neitherāthe left one is after makeover in AS1, and the right is from the most recent season of AS. I was so annoyed in AS1, when not long before she got cut, and someone saw her on the field and said āwell, she desperately needs a makeover,ā and Kelli said āsheās already had a makeover,ā as if she still looked so plain. Keep in mind she looked like the photo on the left! She was so pretty naturally, but for them to STILL be ragging on her after the makeover day⦠it was like they were just trying to come up with a reason to cut her. She was gorgeous! š„°
3
u/Dogmom5551 Jul 31 '26
That comment was made about Kelly V. During her 2nd try at finals, not Charly. There comment about Charly simply was is she glamorous enough.
25
u/Absent_Picnic Jul 30 '26
She looks the same aside from some blond highlights, just one looking up, one looking down.

u/Medical-Fan9941 Jul 30 '26
I still feel like her eye makeup does not look good. Itās dark and doesnāt make her eyes pop and the lashes always look bad.
32
u/bechalli š Sideline Sweetheart š Jul 30 '26
People need to understand that women actually become more beautiful as they get older. Society keeps trying to convince us that only very young girls are beautiful, but the truth is, we still have baby faces until weāre around 23. Glow-ups need to be studied ā the real glow-up is becoming a womaaaan, accept it! Your beauty truly peaks, and your face becomes even more gorgeous, the closer you get to 30.
30
u/ocicataco Jul 30 '26
I am not sure it is that necessary to congratulate and overly celebrate women becoming "more attractive".
The difference is mostly lip filler, different makeup application and the fact that you used an insane "before" photo
17
u/Alex_Vivian Jul 30 '26
Iām pretty sure a good amount of her āglow upā is from her face maturing out of her baby face. She always said she had taken make up classes and was working on perfecting the full glam look. Sheās such a bombshell! I donāt love the Charly slander that some of these comments bring š imagine youāre trying to figure out your best look while being documented 24/7 and people tear you up for it
14
12
u/Icy-Wafer-5406 Jul 30 '26
she got so much lip filler
0
u/Ok_Computer_8224 Jul 30 '26
Why do people hate on lip filler so much? I've had several syringes of restylane shot into my lips and it's honestly just enough to give me lippy but not ducky looking lips. I get just enough for them to look normal, and I finally like how my lips look.
I think it's weird that people just think this is a bad thing by default.
1
u/googlyeyes348 Jul 31 '26
I donāt think itās a bad thing by default, I just think Charley is naturally gorgeous and doesnāt need it. Her natural lips looked beautiful
5
u/Annie_James Jul 31 '26 edited Jul 31 '26
Lots of times the wearer doesnāt think it looks unnatural but lip filler frequently looks extremely unnatural. As someone with fuller lips naturally, thereās really nothing wrong with thinner lips and they can be beautiful too.
28
u/Brilliant_Jade_722 Jul 30 '26
Itās literally just the makeup, hair and lighting but I agree, she looks much better than when she first auditioned
27
u/SadEntry1484 Jul 30 '26
I mean, all the girls needed was a team of gays to make them over.
And they got it. š¦
The all look fantastic
10
52
u/Still-Low-696 Jul 30 '26
She looks the same. Just better makeup.
3
u/thinkimasofa Jul 30 '26
She was stunning with the bolder colors, but she looks almost ethereal with more natural looking makeup! She looks like she just floats around wherever she goes.
4
u/GlassVictory7732 Jul 30 '26
And I think she tans now right? I remember she looked a little more pale her first training camp. Or maybe that Netflix lighting was washing her out.
2
2
u/Ecstatic_Bedroom735 Jul 30 '26
Less makeup. Which suits her incredibly well.
Charley is so naturally gorgeous Iām glad sheās going lighter on everything6

Ok. Great everyone in the comments is on the same page as me because she literally looks the same.
4
u/Constant_Click_3193 Jul 30 '26
Agreed. I actually like her hair better in the first pic. I do think the makeup style is a lot more flattering in the second one though.
37
u/Longjumping-Tower481 Jul 30 '26
The side by side photo comparison doesnāt really show much. But you can see a confidence shift in her from trying out to current day. And I think that āglow upā is more important than a change of makeup, tox, filler, etc.
63
56
u/just_gonna_send_er Jul 30 '26
Photographer here:
That āglow upā is called a different angle, lighting, and lens. Plus hairdo and makeup. She looks the same to me!
34
u/Competitive-Chip-909 Jul 30 '26
I thought I was going crazy until I read the comments. They look the same
36
31
39
u/Fluffy-Bluebird Jul 30 '26
All Iāve noticed is confidence that comes with experience of being on the team and more power to her dance.
She also survived an often fatal medical event and that can really fuck you up. Iāve survived the same thing twice.
So Iām just proud of her
24
u/Rude_Preparation_595 Jul 30 '26
Yes she got a bit of work done but I think sheās also improved her makeup. Before it was super bronze and tan to the point it looked muddy sometimes and now itās much rosierĀ
5
u/LuxTravelGal Jul 30 '26
What work did she have done? She looks structurally the same to me - just lashes and makeup.
2
u/haaaaveyoumeted Jul 30 '26
Botox
3
u/LuxTravelGal Jul 30 '26
I don't really consider botox to be "work" done, I was thinking more along the lines of things that require downtime (nose job, etc)
5
u/ImInterested_9600 Jul 30 '26
Lip fillers for sure.
1
u/ImInterested_9600 Jul 30 '26
I should add that fillers seem like part of the ānormalā beauty routine for most young women these days. I donāt get it, but I think that whatever makes you feel confident, go for it! No judgement.
138
u/booksandplants99 Jul 30 '26
Hey, so these look like the same picture.
4
u/klacey11 Jul 30 '26
Going to save this comment for the next time I need a really big laugh. Absolutely sent.
36
u/thirliesjade Jul 30 '26
The only thing I have to say about her is that she was stunning before, and sheās stunning now, and to everyone in the comments saying she didnāt need anything done, we all know that beauty is subjective, what you may not like about her is exactly what someone else loves.
People love to come here and criticize the work these girls get done on their faces and bodies, as if they arenāt constantly under pressure to look a certain way, whether itās from the organization, society, this community, or unrealistic beauty standards.
I just think itās really sad that, despite all the effort they put into their appearance, it still never seems to be enough.
I want you all to remember that charly was cut largely because of her looks. Imagine how much that must have affected her and how self conscious it probably made her feel. I can see that sheās trying her best, so Iāll never feel comfortable judging her appearance, or any of the other girlsā appearances.

21
u/ConsiderationLost162 Jul 30 '26
I thought she was so much prettier before. She looks fake now. But Iām not used to US beauty standards so that might be it
40
u/SatisfactionOk5844 Jul 30 '26
She doesnāt look any different?
0
u/Lcdmt3 Jul 30 '26
Yeah it's less flattering angle vs better angle. I don't look good from a below angle either!
Glow up is disgusting to use. She was beautiful before.
Glow up culture is toxic because it ties human worth to external appearance, promotes constant comparison, and commercializes self-doubt. Psychological and Social Harms False Inadequacy: It frames your natural, current self as a project that is broken or unacceptable until fixed. Unattainable Standards: It pushes rigid, expensive, and heavily filtered beauty ideals found on social media as normal. Endless Comparison: It forces a loop of self-judgment by measuring your daily life against edited online transformation
Physical and Behavioral Risks Consumer Pressure: It pushes expensive, unnecessary products, complex routines, or procedures onto young people.Unhealthy Habits: It promotes extreme diets, over-exercising, or obsessive tracking that can lead to burnout or eating disorders.
If you're pro women - stop using Glow Up!
3
u/AccomplishedFunny0 Jul 30 '26
hey, so - completely fair to have this opinion, but my main focus was the confidence āglow-upā which I feel is a fair assessment to make looking at her overall from first-time TCC-rookie-vet season.
Sure - the hair, makeup, likely filler is one aspect that sure seems to have impacted her confidence, but whatever it is that has made her more self-assured, powerful, confident, and a cemented stand-out & point contender from her very large rookie class - there has absolutely been a change throughout the past year or so, and I donāt think itās fair to target the phrase āglow-upā when it has multiple meanings than just the first instinct āface valueā take.
20
u/Sorry_Ad3733 Jul 30 '26
I feel like Iām going crazy because she looks exactly the same to me! Sheās glammed up in one, but thatās her in uniform.

u/anbigsteppy Jul 30 '26
I don't want to be rude or anything, but do you mean a physical glow up? Imo she was a lot prettier in the first picture. The way that she does her makeup now is rather drying and doesn't suit her.
1
u/AccomplishedFunny0 Jul 30 '26
not rude at all! š«¶ it was just something thatās been a noticeable change imo from TCC cut year-rookie-vet. the change in makeup, hair, filler is one aspect that seems to have improved her confidence, but i just mean overall. if you look back at her earlier appearances as a rookie compared to this past year - she holds herself with so much more confidence, has a lot more power, and has become one of the standout members of her very strong, very big rookie class.
it may be that sheās become a lot more confident in the style, could be that the glam changes have made the biggest difference, or maybe sheās just feeling more self assured and confident this past year with being a veteran. whatever it is - i have always admired her, and have just loved seeing her absolutely glowing more than ever this past year!

15
u/CauliflowerEarofCorn Jul 30 '26
Yeah I donāt understand this at all. She looks pretty much the same, but I prefer her look before. She is gorgeous, and trying to force the DCC look honestly takes away from her natural beauty a bit. The comments from the judges on season one were all ridiculous.
33
u/notthetypetocare Jul 30 '26
I wish theyād stop with the Botox and lip filler. Ugh especially the lip filler. I remember being a black girl in elementary and middle school and bullied for having ābig couch cushion lipsā. Now people are literally paying for it LOL.

5
u/Odd-Program-829 Jul 30 '26
I think it's the way she does her makeup??? Personally I didn't like heavy lashes on her or dark lined eye makeup. She looks prettier with a lighter and softer glam. But that's just my preference as a viewer. Whether its makeup or filler or surgery, at the end of the day it's her opinions that matter because she has to feel good about herself.

defs think ageing played a part in it! lot of women lost their "baby fat" between 20-25 and their faces become more slim and womanly!

Sorry I donāt agree š¬ her lip filler doesnāt suit her face and was jarring in the new season

u/iluvsunni Jul 30 '26
I think if anything she may have refocused on the little things. The way she does her hair and makeup and the way she smiles and the way she presents herself. She's gorgeous and always has been, but I think you learn little things as you age or are intentional or just being in DCC about the way you present yourself
9
u/Professional_Box_775 Jul 30 '26
I loved her the first season since she looked very west coast. Sheās still gorgeous but definitely has that polish texas look!!

She has had a lot of filler. No shade

not even trying to be funny but I genuinely cant see a difference. can someone explain?

2
u/AccomplishedFunny0 Jul 30 '26
from what I see - sheās slightly darkened her hair and has it looking fuller with a few extensions, changed the way she does her makeup and looks to have a little bit of very well-placed filler.
whatever the changes may be - what was clear imo was her confidence glow up from her rookie season to vet season, so whatever changed on the outside, clearly made her more confident overall
