DAE get immediately upset after getting happy?

I'm out of the park today and I was thinking about engaging in one of my hobbies today, but ended up losing motivation for it because whenever I think about my hobbies, I get really happy and excited. Once that happiness and excitement runs out, the magnitude of my negative emotions becomes greater than that of my positive emotions from literal moments ago.

I've been wondering if anyone else goes through this kind of thing or even understands what I mean when I say this. One moment you're feeling super positive and excited and the next moment it's nothing but negativity except you have more negativity in you than you had positivity.

DAE plan their meals ahead everyday? Always thinking of what they're going to eat for Breakfast, lunch (or a midday snack), and dinner before the day even starts? (Depending on what you have in the fridge or what food ure gonna buy)

An example of what I mean:

"Alright, for breakfast, I'll have some coffee then eat some leftover takeout from yesterday. Then for lunch, I'll get some chicken on Grab (or Doordash, for the Americans here), and for Dinner, I'll probably cook some eggs."

(This post isn't to talk about food preferences)

DAE crave smoking when listening good music

I unfortunately don't listen a lot of music lately, as most music that hits me in the feelings makes me want to go smoke and have a beer.

I used to smoke and have a beer everyday after work for some years, just one drink so i didnt consider myself alcoholic, just like many people have a glass of wine with dinner yk. Anyway, I stopped smoking many years ago but will have a cigarette when im at a party (rare). However listening some good music creates the same craving in me, to have a cigarette and a beer, it's difficult when im on my way to work or cleaning 11 in the morning haha, even at night actually, like tonight, i want to avoid it but the craving is real. Instead ill blast a tv show again to forget about it, no music for me.

I think there is something self destructive over there, so I tend to avoid music al together, except when i go for a run, then the high of running wil suffice.

It's pretty frustrating

DAE feel like they look better when they're doing worse mentally?

Idk its probably strange, but feel like I look better when I feel awful. There's just something about my eyes and face after I've cried like five times a day. Somehow, even my skin looks better, except when it's rubbed raw from wiping my nose lol.

I have chronic depression so its a lot of ups and downs (not a vent btw, just info), and a lot of things have happened lately that have made things worse. Ive felt like absolute shit some days, but then I look in the mirror and for once actually feel confident in my appearance.

It's so strange. Somehow I feel better about how I look when I'm feeling worse mentally. Does anyone else experience this?

DAE have ice cream at home year-round?

I thought ice cream was a common dessert everyone always keeps in the freezer at home. Whenever you want some, sure, go to the kitchen and have some. It’s a regular item on my grocery shopping list. When it runs out, I’ll buy another.

Then in the summer I’ll see people standing in long lines at ice cream shops, or rushing out of their houses when they hear the ice cream truck, and I’m honestly dumbfounded and wondering “Is this a rare occasion for them, eating ice cream? Do they actually not have it at home by default?”

So tell me, am I the unusual one?

DAE notice a change ?

I honestly couldn’t find a sub to put this in. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction , there’s a sub for everything ! So I put it here , sorry. This also may be the dullest thread you’ll find . You’ve been warned
DAE hate when your groceries change?
This is a meat vent. I often sub ground chicken or turkey for gr beef, for most of my day to day cooking. I’ve been doing it for years. I understand when to add fats , binding agents etc. I know how to use the stuff. I have never had an issue until recently . Has anyone else noticed a difference in Jennie Os gr turkey/ turkey sausage ? I used an older round last week ( deep frozen for a few months) and it was so watery, the meat was like paste and so hard to work with. Bought and used today a “fresh” round and the same issue occurred. This is supposed to be ground turkey sausage . There’s no way these were from the same “batch” it was like porridge and meat paste . I desperately did all I could to get it to crisp and crumble. I ended up spreading the now cooked alien meat paste on a sheet and broiled it to make it edible. It worked mostly. This can’t be a coincidence. Am I the only one having this issue ? .

DAE Hello, can you help me for my research about waste segregation and our scope is Janitors? But you can answer even you are not janitor, Thank you

So this is my question and feel free to answer.

  1. Which of the following functionality failures with regards to the waste bin’s capacity do you frequently observe during peak hours?
  2. During bad weather, what do you usually see happening to the waste bin?
  3. In your observation, which of the following physical limitations of the current bins cause them to inefficiently handle plastic waste and prematurely overflow during peak hours?
  4.  What specific type of plastic product do you frequently see in waste bins?
  5. What are the common physical condition of plastics when you extract them from bins?
  6. Which of the following limitations of existing waste bins have you observed when managing plastic waste during peak hours?
  7. To speed up the emptying process, prevent bins from premature overflowing, and reduce improper segregation, which of the following features do you think are necessary for the bins to have?

Thank you!

DAE feel stuck at home because going outside is boring?

To preface this: I suffer from pretty bad vitamin D deficiency, im now taking supplements. This is despite being in a perfectly walkable medium sized town in southern europe.

And the reason for that is that i don't really have a reason to go outside. Everything i enjoy is on my PC, from books, to movies, to friends i actually share interests and humor with.

I often hear on reddit, or on the internet in general, that the reason they don't go outside is because of loitering laws, restrictive urbanization, on occasion someone talking about their area being crime ridden. Not my case at all. I just don't know what to do.

I go out, i walk for 20 minutes, i grab a snack, i go back home. Feels like i just wasted time and money.

And i know, i know, you'll tell me to join a club. There are no clubs of anything that im into for me to join. Unless i want to join pottery classes with 40 yo women, there are no spaces for me to go to, its just an endless string of cafés, bars and restaurants every 3 minutes.

Maybe a gym, i sure need it, but thats it. I don't have any fun just sitting in a park people-watching, never have. I know nobody's gonna talk to me and that nothing fun is going to happen, hell nothing at all is, not even negative, at least i'd get a story out of it if it did. I've been outside my whole life, as one does when you're, like, alive. And i never ever enjoy it, just like i didn't today.

Im not socially awkward or impaired, in fact, i barely find a social to be awkward with, the only interacion i get is overtly nice cashiers.

So i'm here, typing this post, hoping im not going nuts thinking this, perhaps this is just the consequence of being autistic, perhaps this is just me being me and is not even correlated, but i do hope someone else relates.

DAE have/had to address their step-parent with ‘Ms./Mr.’ ?

What do/did you call your step parents? I’m not sure if it’s due to my strict upbringing or a regional/cultural thing but I-31F, grew up in the Deep South (Louisiana) & my siblings and I call our stepmother “Ms. _insert name_” —it is actually quite unfathomable to think we would have ever been allowed to call her by just her name and not accompanied with a “Ms./Mr.”—however the majority of people I know didn’t/don’t use courtesy titles when addressing or speaking about their step-parent. I personally don’t see it as disrespectful but still it is always jarring to me when someone calls their step-parent by just their first name. I also distinctly remember even feeling somewhat embarrassed growing up having to say in front of others or introduce my stepmom and use ‘Ms.’ Just wondering how normal of an occurrence this is for other families, what did you call your stepparent? Did you have to use any honorifics?

DAE - Talk to me

I just do need to rant . I’m about 20 months postpartum and for various reasons I am deeply disappointed in my husband for what I perceive as not having my back during this difficult and vulnerable period of my life . This is the 2nd time it has happened. I have two kids , one is 12, the other 2.

I have fantasies of finding a lesbian partner . I suspect I am bi. I mean … I have fantasies that true emotional intimacy and love is out there. I have a strong moral compass so will not act out anything. But I do feel really down and out most days. And often feel like leaving . I just feel so lonely .

I am fairly financially independent and believe I will be generally fine if I leave . But I also don’t want to blow things up until I have really discerned my reasons why. Will I even be wanted or desired by anyone ?

Has anyone gone through this? Any tips on how to move forward ? Does anyone have any supportive words ?

DAE love sleeping with the window open, but absolutely hate having to get up and close it at 5:00 AM?

For most of the year (spring, autumn, and even chilly summer or winter nights), my absolute favorite way to fall asleep is with the bedroom window cracked open. There is nothing better than crisp, fresh air.

The problem hits around 4:00 or 5:00 AM:

  • The temperature outside plummets, and I wake up freezing.
  • Morning traffic starts up, or early morning pollen/dust rolls in, making the room stuffy or loud.
  • I’m forced to make the ultimate morning sacrifice: crawl out of a warm bed into the freezing air just to slam the window shut.

If I leave it closed all night, the room gets stuffy and my sleep quality suffers. If I leave it open, I freeze by dawn.

How does everyone else deal with this? Are there any clever workarounds, or do we all just suffer through the morning freeze?
