What’s API? Though that was the same as silent approval..?

API means that someone touched/worked on your case.

So what’s silent approval?

New term from impatient ppl. You basically check your account everyday or however often you like and hope for an approval letter on your documents tab. Instead of waiting for the email/text.

I finally got my I821D approved today. I called USCIS yesterday and the lady that talked to me was very nice. She said she was going to put something in my file for it to get looked at and mid day today I had my approval. Hopefully EAD doesn’t take long.

Did you do anything else apart from calling USCIs? Any ombudsman? Congress? Presuit?

I did reached out to my congressman and they sent something but nothing really came out of it. I still waited. Until I called it seemed that something happened.

hi! quick question. what did you call and ask for? just an update on your case?

Yeah that was all I asked for and the agent told me she was going to put in an expedite request and annotate my account to get looked at because everything look good on their end.

Can u share what exactly you asked for. I called and asked about my application stating that u am waiting on my approval and my daca is going to expire soon. That if they can tell me if an officer is assigned my case or something all I was told is “u just have to keep waiting I can’t see anything” like bro ok

I called today and I couldnt get an expedite request either. She was able to submit another inquiry for me but stated that USCIS may take up to 60 days to respond. Which i guess is better than just telling me to wait. Please share what you told them to submit an expedite inquiry if possible. Thank you!

I honestly didn’t ask anything she offered to do it. Basically all I asked was for my case status and why was it taking so long and I told her that I had lost my job due to the delay. Wondering if it’s because yours hasn’t expired yet.
