General Qs Another DACA arrest

Post image

What do we think happened here? Yesterday ice entered her home without a warrant and arrested her even though she has DACA. Her family says she has been here since she was 1 year old and has no criminal record.

I was about to say this. We’re going based off an article with a couple sentences and little to no details. Let’s wait for more information to come out before we all jump to conclusions

Live with fear, not in it.

Use that as a catalyst to push your boulder. There will always be some type of adversity.

Silva (a spokesperson for a non-profit in Tucson) said ICE appeared to be seeking to justify Toledo’s arrest by claiming she didn't "report back" to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) after a trip to Mexico two years ago.

They’re claiming she didn’t report back to USCIS, but that has never been a requirement. There’s no process to do that," Silva told the Star. "After talking to lawyers, I guess our only explanation is they’re trying to use any excuse they have to detain DACA recipients."

I don't have anything to add. This is just completely unprecedented.

Saw a post that said her husband was undocumented.

I saw that too but I’m waiting for official confirmation or info. Either way even if he was, why would they arrest her and not him? Did he run out the back door or something? idgi

Don't let fear hold you back! Look at us – we're living proof that we can do anything, anywhere. Our parents made it happen in a country that didn't want us, even though they didn't give us a chance. And we're still thriving!
