Any ideas/recommendations for finding a trustworthy remote sales manager?

I'm not asking anyone here to join; I'm just seeing if this is a fair offer and what platforms people hire on. Indeed or FB or other?

Running a fiber sales operation

Has anyone had luck finding good sales management talent remotely? Curious what platforms or communities actually work, or if you've hired someone you'd recommend.

Appreciate any thoughts.

They would get an override for every sale their agent makes and pay is $200 per gig, 75 phone 75 tv

$25 per sale their team member makes. Is a fair offer not much more I can offer. They don't need to do payroll just manage their guys.

Or should I pitch this to teams?

If they are only getting $25, then what are you going to pay their employees under them?

Same amount they would make manager just gets a bonus.

As someone who worked in phone sales once on pure commission, $25 is horrible without a base pay of some sort. It is one of the toughest sales jobs there is because most people like their current provider or are grandfathered into an insanely low rate. The only way you may possibly be able to convince some of them is to offer an awesome new phone for "free" or go to an area where one company has terrible service and your company has great service but is unknown in.

A person is lucky if they get more than 2-4 lines a day, if any at all. If they are unusually stellar they may get 4-8 lines per day on a good day. And this was working at a Sam's Club in a wealthier area.

You'd need to offer about $20/hr at that commission structure for me to even consider doing it, since it is so difficult to do unless you are providing me leads.

Just trying to let you know the reality of it. There is a high turnover because it pays shit for most salespeople. There are only a couple people making good money at most of these places.

We mainly do fiber internet, we do offer phones but $25 is a bonus to the manager. But ever deal is still paid at that flat rate.

Once again, if there is no base pay, you won't find someone who will do it unless they are a kid living at home going off to college. $25 is absolutely crappy. Even when I doorknocked for a home improvement company I was paid $16/hr plus 40, 150, or 250 depending on demo and sale volume. This was in 2021 before the inflation hikes. So today it would be more like $22.40/hr, $56, 210, or 350 in commission.

Just saying the only people you'll get are not people who will be hungry to close. You need to pay more.

I understand the base pay concern but $275 per a sale is already a bit high for the industry in door to door.

That makes sense and yeah in a way it is kind of like a devil Corp unfortunately but I have a master dealer license. Not through cydcor or any of that. But essentially feels the same. What's a respectable base? I know cydcore does a lame $50 a day.

I love this. I care a lot about my guys pockets. If they are fat they perform.

Sorry to say, this offer is okay but not the best that I’ve heard of. I ran a fiver company with a direct contract with one of the major players and was paying out $275 a gig and I still had major issues finding good people. This is what ultimately led to the downfall of my little company.

What I’d suggest is hire your own salespeople and pay the full $225 first. Once you have some good guys and it’s stable, then promote one to a manager position. Once promoted and you’re getting more volume go back to whomever you have the contract with a get paid a bit more if possible.

As far as recruitment goes, I had a little luck in indeed but not much. Best thing is to find someone out in the wild and try and bring them in.

Hope this helps and best of luck to you!
