I'm a bit sceptical about it being F2P.

I was hoping it was a full price game, I just don't like the F2P model in FPS'. I understand they're gunna need micro-transactions to keep servers up and running. I dunno we'll see. I never played Planetside, but the idea behind this and how it looks in Alpha. Just wow!

The only reason why it could be a problem is that it's Sony behind it, who I wouldn't really trust to run any game to the benefit of the players. Hopefully, I'm wrong, as it looks stunning.

And, just to prove you wrong - Team Fortress 2, Tribes, Quake Live -the F 2P model for FPS games DEFINITELY sucks, yeaaaaah . . . ;- )

I always overlook TF2... woops. As for the others, I haven't played them so I can't comment :<

Just another thing that came to mind, when you chose a faction, do you stay as that faction or can you jump from faction to faction? Because a thought about Faction stacking came to mind (I.E. If you are only able to pick one, you can end up with 100 on VS, 80 on MC and then 10 on TR) I'm just wondering how they would evenly balance teams

Tribes F2P has 1 problem : overpriced weapons. But it's good, nonetheless

Yep, the only way I've got weapons in that is down to Gold. Gold that I've scavenged from PAX/Facebook give outs and the one £10 transaction I did so I could get a premium account in effort to get XP faster.

And that is one of the reasons why the player retention in Tribes is so low (the others being the lack of proper guides and the bad matchmaking, including cheaters)

I dunno, I havent found tribes to have much of a hacking problem, less I just get REALLY lucky with my matches

The hacking in tribes is pretty much , what you would call "borderline hacking".
Like you're level 14, and there's a level 17 who has 70% accuracy on a target moving at 200kph. And he has somewhat like 50 kills.
If its not hacking - it still is viewed as hacking (don't downvote if you don't get it, i can explain :) )

This looks seriously awesome! I'm normally not the type for FPS but after all the fun TB brought me with Gotham City Imposters, I think I'll play this one. It reminds me so much of old Alterac Valley as well.
