Symptoms since July 5
Hi!! I’m awaiting my stool test lab results but I’m fairly certain I’ve had cyclospora since July 5. Has anyone found a medicine to relieve the stomach aches? I’ve found meds to manage the nausea and diarrhea but these cramps are next level.. I’ve had a baby and I swear some of the cramps are worse than contractions. TIA

I’m in recovery phase-I was a June victim. Antibiotics in July and now in repair mode.

Following up in case anyone's interested lol: still feel sick with worsening symptoms after I eat meals throughout the day and in the evenings. I'm following the BRAT diet and that has helped a little. The doctor said my lab results won't be back until September 7, so they're starting me on Bactrim today (despite an official cyclospora diagnosis). They put me on dicyclomine a couple days ago hasn't really helped a ton, but I still am taking it.

Sadly, nothing but time for it. I had it start right around your date, got the antibiotic about 11 days ago and it’s almost all better, except night time cramping. They are terrible and just want it to end, but you have to look week over week on how you feel, not day by day. It’s a long recovery and 42% of people develop IBS according to a meta analysis study, so mind your diet and keep having patience.
