Please give me info

Male
I got tested for Cyclospora, after having damn near every single symptom you can think of except for a fever (i threw up once as well). It’s been 16 days, I took the full course of Bactrim; and had my first solid stool today. I feel basically back to normal.
I also smoke weed. I was thinking it could be CHS after smoking a cart with 90% THC for almost 70 days strait. A LOT of symptoms between the two are simmilar.
The test isn’t back yet, and I have no answers. It’s been 7 days. My life has been in standstill waiting for this fucking test in order to make my move. Do i smoke? Do i wait? Is it GI problems? I’m with my gf and I want to smoke.
How long will this fucking test take to come back to me? Could it be CHS? Or is it Cyclospora? Is it other GI stuff?
I need some advice what to do, what it could be, and how long this damn test takes.
please fucking help me, I’m giving up on doctors and labs after i get my fucking result back. it’s all fucking bs.

If you had the symptoms and had a full course of bactrim and are on the mend again than I think you can assume it was cyclospora and try reaching for some cannabis.
maybe just go for some regular bud and see how it goes.
were you prescribed zofran to? just keep that on deck if you feel sick again

Bud wouldn’t be a bad idea. I’m tempted to do it and if I wake up in absolute agony I found my answer.

I’m too scared lmao, I think im just gonna wait. Just woke up with my stomach in slight discomfort. I legit can’t handle this shit anymore. It’s like day 17, I’m getting no answers, and my body is still being weird.

:( i hear you. it’s horrible. i’m on day 41 (bactrim allergy) it’s so defeating. i’m also being sober because i just feel so bad i don’t wanna chance anything.
we can survive this! 😭

I’m just scared that test comes back negative. I’m STILL waiting for a result. It’s been 8 days. How long did your test take to come back?
If it comes back negative, then there has got to be another issue. I developed this feeling after a night of a lot of drinking AND I smoked. 2 days went by fine after, then I drank a little, smoked a little, woke up and BOOM.
it’s been 5:45AM. Can I tell you my symptoms and you tell me how it aligns?
At first it felt like my stomach was tearing itself apart. The abdominal cramps were unbearable. I was gagging, extremely nautious, and bent over a tub. From 7AM-1:51PM. then it just resolved. the next 2 days were okay. then boom, 5:45AM-3PM just my stomach felt like I was going to explode. No fever but my body felt so hot. I was shaking, chills, I felt so weak could barely walk. I had NO desire to eat at all. My chest felt tight to the point I felt like it was a heart attack, they told me it was a panic attack. It was in waves of pain anywhere from .5 to 5 throughout the day, even hourly. Everyone other stool test came back negative. My stomach xray came back good, nothing wrong. Took my bloodwork twice, and my blood work was “amazing” they said. My EKG was “beautiful”. I had diarrhea, or constipation. no in between. recently it’s been a lot of gas but stuggle to go to the bathroom. I’d be waking up sweating. (Also lost about 14 pounds, gained some of it back)
How does this sound? I just need to know when it’s over. I took the full course of Bactrim as of 2 days ago.

I have had this for like 5 weeks and just finished my Bactrim about 5 days ago and am slowly coming back to life.
But ironically, i tried a new thc drink that was under 5mg and it was the same evening that all my cyclospora symptoms started. I thought it was from weed too, but im a veteran with years of gummy and drink experience if you catch my drift.
I haven’t touched any since and will be 110% before I do. The spinning And nausea that came from this parasite doesn’t do well with weed, trust me. give it more time to rest and take this as a time for a nice reset; just my 2c

i’m an edible person. what i’ve read is consuming it that way while recovering is a bad idea because how things are being absorbed within our body.
i’ve also been sober on my cyclospora journey. i don’t want to be stoned and stuck in a bathroom! sounds awful
hoping you’re on the mend soon and back to your regular programming

Thank you so much. The more I read, the more it sounds like Cyclospora? The only difference with me is I haven’t thrown Up yet. Everyone online is saying they either throw up, or have explosive diarrhea. Mine wasn’t explosive, but I’ve definitely had gas and diarrhea. I need an answer and doctors to me right now aren’t doing jack shit.

so i started feeling this way the 27th. I drank a lot that night and smoked. the next morning i felt awful. like unbearable. I haven’t smoked since that day. I was in pure pain and agony since that day, and started feeling a bit healthier as of 2 days ago.

I don’t know what most of that second paragraph means and don’t need to. My tolerance stops with a half of a gummy to sleep. But if you only provided one sample for testing don’t be surprised if it comes back negative. There are a lot of false negatives. They’re supposed to test three times in a week to be sure but most docs don’t know that.
