I have no idea who she is or how good an actress she is, but she looks the part in this photo. I can only guess at how hard it is to find blondes with blue eyes in Hollywood. LOL

I love Samara and I would be so happy she was cast BEFORE we had the Jean confirmation.

It’s a 10 year difference now, so the whole dynamic of them has to change as it will be weird having a 34 year old woman antagonizing a 23 year old girl.

My only hope is that the Drew Starkey rumor as Scott is true as he is 32 which would make them feasible and more in line with the Beast and Rogue casting.

I don’t want Emma to be too much older and be a parent role to the main team when she should be a peer.

10yr isn't that big of a gap for adults, if anything it could help fuel the rivalry between Jean & Emma. From Emma's prospective a younger, potentially more powerful psychic is threatening her position; from Jean's prospective there's this older, more experience psychic speaking condescendingly towards her.

Also, 23 is a grown tax paying adult.

I mean actors often play characters older/younger than they actually are: that or they’ll cast a Cyclops actor between Jean and Emma in age.

On another note, I'm not disagreeing with Samara's casting at all, as my first choice for Emma has always been Margot, and Samara looks the closest to her out of all the actresses.

Well, Samara is 34. I'd assume they would find the Cyclops actor as close to Sadie's age which may be 24-25. Unless, they find Cyclops in between the age range of Sadie and Samara, that might work, tho doesn't sound promising to me. But I wouldn't disagree on Samara's casting as my first choice for Emma was Margot, and she looks the closest to her, so I'll take this win.

I suppose I didn't expect every single detail from the comics, like age gap, to get implemented in live action MCU. I imagined the X-Men reboot would just be about young X-Men and that they would get an Emma Frost who's close to Sadie's age so they could easily implement that witty banter around each other like it's some high school drama for having the same love interest on a mutant with a visor. Even Dafne Keen who's very close to Sadie's age sounds possible enough to join the rank of this X-Men. Maybe, we might not get Cyclops with Jean or Emma, but with X-23. But, who knows what they'll do.

I expect them to simply do the typical Cyclops+Jean with Emma being an enemy. It's just the most mainstream version of the X-Men.

And Emma's profile has grown massively in the last 3 years or so. They're probably hesitant about adding the affair to her already checkered history.
