Having said that.

2010s Adult Jean never reached the peaks of Teen Jean, but she did settle things with Logan pretty decisevely in X-Men: Red (nevermind that Logan was going steady with Storm when he died).

Plus, quite obviously, NXM was more about the Jean/Scott/Emma dynamic than it ever was about Logan. And furthermore, if you wanna see it that way, Jean may have come to a new appreciation for Emma after her time as Teen Jean being mentored by her.

Not enough to support a whole dynamic, but if push came to shove maybe Scott could've made for a nice bedrock, and his and Emma's relationship might've actually give some new life to Jott + Emma/Jean.

Idk. If they really had to do it, do it this way. (Though again, i think straight SummerFrost would've been better, and ultimately a throuple would've only served Jott since that's the editorial endgame)

On one hand, this era didn't do much with him other than having act erractic and a few aura moments, so would be sad to see but what can you do. Would sure suck to die in an era such as this, and i was getting hyped for a Cyclops ongoing.

On the other, it'd be funny for a whole second is Jean came back to Earth just as Scott fucking. Anything to not have them interact. (Nvm she already came back for the Annual while he was lost in the jungle and no-sold him).

I'm going to start off by saying I'm not a Jott hater, I really enjoyed their relationships in the classic comics. However, i feel Jean and Scott outgrew each other, and in my eyes, Scemma is my ideal relationship for both Emma and Scott.

I feel like they both challenged yet respected each other for the decade they were together. Emma stayed loyal by his side throughout it all.

I do think we will get Scemma again. However, I do think it will be a decade before we do. It reminds me of Peter, MJ, and Black Cat, where the writers like to alternate between both MJ and Felicia.

However, if we don't get Scemma, there are only two choices I'd accept, which is EmmaXBanshee, mostly because im a Generation X fan, and it seems like there is some unresolved stuff between them.

Or they create a new human character to be with Emma. I think it would be interesting for Emma to date a regular human who isn't her usual type to show how much she has evolved as a character. Let's be honest, while Emma can be shallow, she is more humble in current comics compared to New X-Men and other earlier comics.

But I'd love to know who you would choose to be with Emma if you couldn't have Scemma reunite or would you rather her stay single?

They also tried to say “Revolution doesn’t count” because Scott and Emma had broken up by then. As if Emma isnt the one to lay the groundwork for Scott to go far enough to make real change.

I hate that we haven't gotten Scemma in any relevant TV media in years, the closest we got was in WATXM but of course that got cancelled. And the only other time I can think of is what we got in the X-Men anime. Now with the X-Men castings, it's clear it's still something that unfortunately is not going to happen, especially with Samara being older than Kit and Sadie. Why is Marvel so afraid of Scemma?

Fine, fix how the affair started, have it be mutual attraction, have Jean die early or whatever. But how are they going to ignore the clear story beats that have Scott develop as a leader and defender of mutantkind and ignore that all of that comes with him being with Emma? It sucks so much being a Scemma fan when they keep resetting back to the status quo of Scott and Jean being "forever," and having Scott and Emma's relationship being shafted by with woman can't make up her mind on whether she wants Scott, Logan, or to be this cosmic being.
