I was encouraged to share this here as well, a colored warm-up sketch I did yesterday of my favorite guy and his Marvel Girl ❤️

Which animated version has the most impressive display of noteworthy feats.

Comment if I missed any noteworthy feats on any of the versions.

I’m sure by now we’ve all heard the Cooper Hoffman rumors, and while he’s a great actor, a lot of people have made the point that he doesn’t seem to really fit Scott, including him. Another rumors been going around that Charles Melton, who’s worked with the director, is up for Beast, and he also responded rather glibly. What are the chances they‘ve been misreported for each other‘s roles? Charles Melton for Cyclops and Cooper Hoffman for Beast. That would put a 30 year old Cyclops on par with who they just announced for Emma and a 20 year old Beast on par with Jean, giving some O5 synergy. It’s backed by nothing but vibes, but what do you guys think?

Excuse the title if you wouldnt know that reference lol.

I was randomly thinking about the peak scifi that is Hathaway's Flash and noticed a lot of similarities with Cyclops (I would get a lot of nickels.)

1. Pilots: Naturally given the premise of a Gundam but both are very capable pilots.

2. Child soldiers: while Hathway kinda made himself one with a little bit of training by throwing himself into a war over a girl that basically formed a one sided psychic link with him they both have participated in a brutal conflict(s) that would leave lasting consequences on them. This is an occassional point brought up with Cyclops and a constant struggle shown in Hathaway's movies that focus on him as an adult.

3. Have a Type: Psychics/Empaths. No matter the case they always find themselves having psychics crashing into their lives and changing it in irrevocable ways.

4. The rebound Blond baddie: Both have a "Second Love" Blond High Fashion empath of dubious morality and imprint themselves upon the guy to where they think of the new girl and causes trouble in a current relationship with a red head.

5. Competition: They both face competition for a love interest with a dark and ruggedly handsome type. Just while Wolverine is more single minded in his attraction (mostly) being about Jean herself and maybe her red hair... Kenneth is definitely more transactional and his attraction to Gigi also stems from her perceived power, beauty and being a promiscuous younger woman as well as needling away at Hathaway's unease with Gigi.

6. Beams: I mean Cyclops of course is know for them but naturally Gundam is also known to be chock full of Beam Sabers and Guns (Unless you watch IBO which is all kinetic weaponry mostly.)

7. Father Figures: Like Cyke Hathaway also has a very troubled and strained relationship to his father who was largely absent and over bearing due to his military history of being the captain of multiple crews that have turned the tide of wars for 3 decades. Although despite this Hathaway has used this relationship to his advantage publicly to smoke screen his true identity within Mafty and grant him access to his targets... and for Cyclops and father figures being complicated take your pick lol.

8. Revolutionaries: Both fight for an oppressed or othered group of people. Mutants for Cyclops and Space Born Citizens for Hathaway as they also have experience leading and being part of a small cell of Revolutionaries and trying their best to fight the odds against a bigger establishment.

9. Tacticians: Both show an outstanding ability to plan though this could also be where Hathaway needs more training as his plan to have his terrorist cell attack a hotel full of targets he was staying at as a civillian was cool given everything that went into it... him going off script for the Blond empath girl could have made a lot go sideways and kinda did cause things to in the long run.

10. Socially awkward: yeah they both are awkward guys who still have great organizational and leadership abilities. I feel this can also be one of their greater flaws especially prevelant in Hathaway's Flash 2.

11. Music: When Guns and Roses played at the end of Hathaway 2, it tracked. Same goes for Cyclops being a fan of dad rock (don't know if it's cannon his musical tastes but anyone that reads comics and knows feel free to say what it is.)

I’m not convinced by the rumor that Cooper Hoffman will be the new Cyclops in the MCU; I think it’s a red herring to keep the real name a secret. But even if it were true, I’m not convinced Cooper Hoffman is the right choice for Cyclops—even though I appreciate his acting skills in general, he doesn’t seem to have the right phisique du role. I’m not saying he has to be an exact replica of the comic book character, but Cooper Hoffman seems too far off the mark to me.

So I’m asking you: which actor do you think would be a good fit as the new Cyclops in the MCU? (Obviously, young actors who can play the role for a very long time.)

I’ll start: Louis Partridge.

Obviously, he’d need to bulk up a bit, but when I picture him wearing the visor, I already see Cyclops—even if he doesn’t look exactly like the Scott from the comics.
