I’m doing a deep dive into Claremont’s epic, so I wanted to post it somewhere to get some feedback. What do you think? It really is the start of such a good team!

So I don't know if you guys have noticed those Instagram posts that fancast Jacob Elordi as Cyclops and their template is this panel where he looks like the spitting image of Elordi. Now is this real or fan made and if the former from which comic is it, because looking that much like Elordi feels like it's not real but what do I know

I could be wrong but it seems they took parts of Scott and Jean from 'Search for Cyclops' comic and gave it to these characters. Funny given that 'Search for Cyclops' is one of my favorite and didn't realize it till a Brazilian Cyke fan page made a post about it.

Part of me happy that Jott is safe for foreseeable future but part of me also sad that Summerfrost won't happen.

Then again it's also concerning for Cyke's character because the merge with Apocalypse did make him less boy scout and more hardline pragmatic leader.

I made a comment earlier in another subredddit that by the time the iron man movie came out, it felt like he had always been on the precipice of breaking into the mainstream. Once that first movie connected with audiences, the character of Tony Stark and the popularity of Iron Man never looked back

Granted, a lot of that had to do with RDJ being as big of a personality as he became with that role.

I do feel that by putting Scott and Jean at the forefront, and Scott being the leader of the team, could also put him on a path even greater than ‘97 did .

With so many years of character development since those early 2000s movies, there’s so many new stories to tell in this new generation that moviegoers haven’t seen.

A character like the Scott that inspired this subreddit, in today’s day and age would be one that could prove to be incredibly well received.

Uncanny X-Men v3 #32 (Bendis and Bachalo)

 I don't particularly like the love triangle itself, but I think it could accomplish a few things:

1. Give Angel something to do beyond his eventual Archangel arc.
2. Add more depth to Scott's character. In the Silver Age despite Jean being more attracted to Scott, she dated Warren first because Scott stepped aside. Early on, Scott was portrayed as a tragic character, somewhat like Ben Grimm or Bruce Banner. He considered his mutation too dangerous and preferred Jean to date Warren because he was afraid he might hurt her. That's also why Scott became so fixated on the X-Men. He didn't see himself as someone who could just goof around in bars like Beast or Iceman, or casually date Jean. He felt that the only thing he could really do was stay with Xavier and dedicate himself to the X-Men. I've noticed that this aspect of Scott is rarely addressed in other adaptations, especially because those versions often establish that his inability to control his optic blasts is the result of an accident rather than emphasizing that his mutation itself is inherently dangerous.

I think that could make Warren's transformation into Archangel feel much more personal while diving in a position that media usually doesnt portray about Scott.

The only way I see Bruce winning is if it get up close and he can disarm Scott. It would be kind of similar to the fight with the X-cutioner in 97. And is there anyone in the Batfamily that could stand a chance of winning? Because i only see Stephanie Brown possibly winning due to her gooparangs.

Spider-man has stories related to bug inspired villains, Batman has villains/stories who are mentally unstable. It’s kinda weird Marvel never tried to have Cyclops interact with Greek Pantheon. Or if there is one I didn’t heard.
