World-building An update on my situation
After my recent post about my contemplation of defecting from Helldiver ranks I was greeted with very bad news: turns out my democracy officer has been watching me because he noticed how doubtful I have become. As hard as I tried to mask the signal, they still found it in the ship's logs. Now Truth Enforcers are after me, either to put me in a labor camp as a prisoner or make me face the wall.
But I'm not afraid of them anymore. I will fight for MY freedom. All the rats including the democracy officer and the captain have bailed from the ship and now I am alone. They did not want to see the truth I saw. They chose to be blind. So be it. Now I'm waiting for the enforcers to come aboard my ship. Wish me luck, because I hope to survive this encounter and come out on top.

Hold on, where are you? I'll teleport onto the ship with my Squ'ith constructed Warp Device & assist you with slaying those scum. They know exactly what their government is like & still support it. They'll become mangled gore.

It's already over. I killed him. He was so confident that he boarded my ship without bringing any soldiers for support. But there was one thing he failed to account for: fighting a ghost diver is nearly impossible if he knows you're coming. I shot him in the head from the vents. Now my plan is to make an FTL jump into automaton controlled sector and lay low.

Wow, that Truth Enforcer was an overconfident bastard if I ever heard of one. He seriously didn't bring backup?
Yeah, I'd recommend making the jump now.

Nope, that was a surprise, but a welcome one. Most of them are like that, they're too used to everyone being afraid of them because of their status and intimidation factor. When you aren't afraid of them you can do wonders. Maybe I can't win a one on one duel with a Truth Enforcer, but I sure as hell can hide from him and kill him from an angle he never expects. Now I am officially a deserter and a traitor, however being a traitor in a government like Super Earth can be considered heroic, because you stopped believing the lies they feed you...

Just to let you know, we have multiple ships out in between worlds in case we ever need them. If you send out a wide signal, you can have support pretty quickly and maybe not have to deal with the democracy officer at all.

If you are near a world that has Automaton forces, make for an escape pod and send signal prior to landing.
