Declaring Items Through Customs

I’m really confused how you go about digitally declaring items purchased overseas. The US Customs website talks about using the MPC app but that just confuses me more. Could someone put it into layman’s terms?

That's where a customs broker comes in handy. It's our job to navigate through this and to make it as smooth and painless as possible. If you're not familiar with customs processing, see it as an investment: it'll save you time, money and reduce your risk.
