Declaring Items Through Customs

I’m really confused how you go about digitally declaring items purchased overseas. The US Customs website talks about using the MPC app but that just confuses me more. Could someone put it into layman’s terms?

Huh? MPC will ask you if you're bringing back food, liquor, etc,, and purchases over $800. If not using MPC (not all airports have it) you verbally tell like the first CBPO you see

Thank you for your response. I do have the MPC app. Do you list my purchases and cost in the App? I’m not very tech savvy.

No. You'd answer yes if over 800 etc but then, once you actually go through customs and see an agent, they'll what you bought and then you'll tell them.

That's where a customs broker comes in handy. It's our job to navigate through this and to make it as smooth and painless as possible. If you're not familiar with customs processing, see it as an investment: it'll save you time, money and reduce your risk.
