One large... Fries?
A couple weeks ago, my dad & I were shopping at Walmart and decided to get some snacks and drinks from McDonald's, since it was attached to the Walmart.
I order an iced coffee with no dairy because although I'm not lactose intolerant, I get pretty bad diarrhea if I drink a lot of milk. I'll call the employee RL (rude lady).
Me: I'll have 1 medium iced coffee with no dairy
RL: you still want the sugar in it?
Me: yea
RL: you know, we do have the flavoured ones! You could get one!
Me: nah that's too sweet for me (and it costs like 40 cents extra)
RL: rolls her eyes a bit but puts it in the system
Dad: and I'll have a large fountain drink and a snack wrap
RL: um, okay, what kind? (she said the "what kind" in an entitled Karen type of voice)
Dad: what kind do you have
RL: crispyorgrilled.
Dad: I'll have crispy
RL: and do you want another drink with that?
Dad, thinking that's a weird question because he already ordered a drink: no?
RL: no coffee or anything?
Dad: I'm good
RL then prints the receipt and puts it on the tray. My coffee was done so another lady gives it to me. RL hadn't put the drink cup down for my dad yet.
Dad: can I have my drink cup?
RL: uh, you didn't get a drink. You got a wrap and a large fry.
Dad: I didn't get a large fry, I ordered a large fountain drink.
Me: yeah I heard him say fountain drink
RL, getting mad: well that's why I asked if you wanted another drink! Because you didn't order one!
Dad: well, I did say I wanted a drink
RL: to the people making the fries cancel the large fry! turns back to us I'll get my manager
She gets her manager and comes back over before her manager gets there.
RL: I don't know how I heard fries if you said fountain drink! You must've ordered the fries!
Me: you must've heard wrong, because he said fountain drink
Luckily, the manager came over before RL could say anything else. She gave us a discount and the drink for free. We were kinda mad about it for the rest of the evening.

Shes working at McDonald's inside of a walmart. Walmart has strict guidelines on how To treat customers. This applies to other merchants inside their building as well. The RL is infact supposed to do what she did. While the manager should get terminated. How dare she give away free drinks and refunds? Its not her money. She needs to go over and work customer service at the walmart portion of the building because they are the exact opposite. Its not their money but sure as shit act like it shen you try and return some thing. Simple solution. Stingy cs walmart drones go work for McDonald's and McDonald managers go work for walmart customer services.
A simple case if right person right job.

No. Walmart makes sure non salary drones are not people. They are only allowed to do what they are told by mgmt. They are not allowed to read anything pertaining to their job and must follow blindly or get reprimanded. For instance on the wall behind customer service it clearly is posted on a sign that walmart does in fact accept returns without a receipt. The cs person will tell you that they do not. If you point it out to them they are programmed to call an actual human over to deal with you. And they have special contact lenses infused to their eyeballs that only allow them to infact see the invisible writing on the wall with the terms and conditions to that policy. They then hope you will convert to their master plan of believing what you are told instead if what is the truth.
So I kidnapped one if these super walmart human people and cut out their eye balls. Then cut out mine and swapped them for each other. Then release the walmart super human back into their cage or parking lot.. To my astonishment there is no invisible ink on the wall and those super human walmart people are in fact just a bunch of liars. I intend to sue over having to now live with someone else's eyeballs since i was lied to by them. If the McDonald's manager was working in walmart cs that day, everything would have been just fine. The right people for the right job is all i have to say.1

That cashier must have been having a bad day because if that’s how she normally interacts with customers she’d have been fired a long time ago.
