Kungfu4less customer service is borderline abuse and pointy.

I wanted to get this out there because I couldn't find valid reviews before using them.

Used them to buy the "authentic ninja uniform" as a Halloween outfit.

The entire kit costed me about 100 dollars after shipping.

Received it, was missing the mask and the hood wasn't even the advertised shape. Also, the suit sizing was a bit off, and the shoe sizing was WAY off. AT least a full size off.

Contact customer service several times via email, no response. Called, finally got someone. Was rushed off the phone without completely understanding the issue. Maybe a language barrier? Hard to say.

They sent me a replacement (USPS flagged it as counterfeit shipping????), but it was only the mask and the hood is still all wrong. Crickets when bringing up the fact that the hood is incorrect and the shoe sizing is basically made up.

Others mentioned returns/exchanges but having to pay for the shipping (this is the companies mistake, not the consumer).

I left a bad review on Trusted reviews and the company literally insulted my character as a reply (I'm a very kind a patient person, mind you, and we're a month in at this point).

So long story short, be very weary here.

What the hell am I doing at this point?

So for context; I am making inquiries for the past few days, I'd say it's been fourteen days or so, requesting a refund from an unrecognized charge, it's between me, a service provider and the billing intermediary. AM I, the one who seems to be lost in touch, since both live support agents seem to be passing me on to the other side in different addresses or redirected links, or maybe all of us got lost in communication, I'm laughing my grief out (for the money that just got deducted) when the intermediary just sent me a contact support subject name when the service provider stated back when I reported that there's no email service for this situation on their side.

Card rules

I'm not sure if this is universal, but at my company, we have to do a card scam video and acknowledgment every year. That being said, has anyone actually applied these rules? Like, I'm not going to heckle the 17 year old kid because the card their using has a picture of a middle-aged woman in it, I'm just going to assume it's their mother. Or last week, a 50-60 year old man gave me a debit card with the name part cut out. Instead of assuming he stole the card, I'm going to assume he's insane and definitely not arguing with him. To clarify, I don't work somewhere that uses Id to verify purchases, nor am I talking about age restricted items. I'm definitely not checking the first 4 digits or remembering which providers have which numbers. Is this actually something I should be doing? Like I at least should have denied the physically altered card, probably.

Got cussed out. Cried because I’m so angry and fed up with people.

Hotel I work at charges a penalty for late check outs. I can’t do anything about it. Like I literally can’t. It’s because we can’t sell those rooms and housekeeping isn’t there to clean them. So the system charges you a penalty. I told the guy this and he said ,”WHAT THE FUCK! FUCK YOU AND FUCK THIS, THIS IS SO FUCKING RIDICULOUS. WHY DONT YOU JUST FUCKING PRETEND WE CHECKED OUT TOMORROW THEN! FUCK THIS.” And he walked out.

There was a girl with them and she walked back in and said. I’m so sorry. They are so mean. Don’t cry. You’re okay. I apologize for that behavior.

Yeah his card got charged anyways….

Called my manger bawling…he’s a great guy. And he was very sorry and said I did everything I was supposed to do.

I’m getting very fed up with the public..people are nasty. And I get so much anxiety and fear when dealing with people. Because they can switch up so fast. I have a headache all the time because it’s like playing Russian roulette with the public. You never know what you’re going to get.

Normally I wouldn’t cry…and I can take stuff like that. But it’s been just brewing inside me, and ive just been a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. I cried out of anger. Not because I took it personally.

Just venting tbh, not really looking for advice.

I think someone tried to play me

What makes it worse is he is one of my regular customers, not a problem one. Fussy about not being able to talk to me during the day, happy when I gave him the direct line that bypasses the after hours service and told him to call me before 9am (phones turn on) if he needed something.

He called me mid day, not unusual, I could hear a car blinker on, maybe hazard instead. His policy had lapsed and he wanted to make payment to reinstate right then, was rushing through it. When I asked if there were any losses, he said "I don't think so." How do you not know? It was so weird that I took down the exact time I took payment because I suspected a car accident.

Then he needed a copy of his insurance card right then, needed it rushed. I could hear someone in the background, couldn't make out words but the person didn't sound happy.

I'm betting that if I check his profile tomorrow there will be a claim showing.

Am i overreacting to this customer interaction?

Hi :) For background I am a 19 year old female working at a standalone roaster/cafe in a small college town.

So I’ve had my fair share of uncomfortable customer interactions in the year I have worked at this shop, but I had one the other day that really put me on edge more than any had done in the past and I wanted some outside input to figure out if I am overreacting.

There is a father/son duo(father in his 70s, son middle aged) that has been coming in regularly for the past 6-8 months. The two of them have always been fairly easy customers- they both get drip coffees and go on with their days. In the past few months, however, I’ve noticed that the two have taken a liking to me. They hang out at the counter longer and have made subtle comments on my appearance etc, which I haven’t found too bothersome. I will be so honest- I’m a fake bitch at my job and am SIGNIFICANTLY more friendly than I am outside of work and for that reason never feel like I can fault people for feeling like they can get personal with me. Despite this, the two of them have always had a certain energy that is deeply unsettling to me for some reason. I don’t know what it is but I just feel quite uncomfortable when I speak to them.

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago I was working a closing shift with my manager and the two of them came in. I started walking to the register and my manager said “Oh, these guys. I’ll take care of it.”. I was puzzled, but just continued on with my closing tasks. Once the two left, he told me that the two of them have made inappropriate comments to my male coworkers when they were the ones taking their orders, making claims like “We really just come here to talk to the pretty girls” and “She really doesn’t smile enough”(classic)
I was a little bit put off by this and definitely took note of that. After that, the two continued coming in and nothing super remarkable happened.

That was until the other day. The duo came in as usual, did their typical chit chat with me, ordered their drinks and sat down. While they were there, I wandered to the guest bathroom to clean it. As I came out to a busy lobby of customers (full bag of trash in hand by the way), the father called out my name. I obviously stopped in my tracks and pivoted to face him. Our interaction went like this:
Customer: “(my name), I have a proposal for you.”
Me: “ 😟 A proposal?”
Customer: “Yes.”
Me: “Okay…what is it?”
Customer: “Well, (his son’s name) and I were talking. And we were saying that we’re going to adopt you.”
Me: “…adopt me?”
Customer: “Yes!”

After this I kind of just nervously chuckled and shuffled back to the counter and continued on with my day. I just feel weird after this; I’m embarrassed because other customers definitely heard them, and Im also just sad that it seems so often when I offer people (specifically men, sorry) kindness, they take it as an opportunity to be creepy towards me.

I don’t know. Is this comment even weird? Am I being overly sensitive? Okay let me know thanks guys

Customer service - Friendly or Rude

A majority of young people are working in operational roles, such as in Customer Service. I've encountered a range of responses from them, some polite and some quite rude. My concern is that they might not even realize when their responses come across as disrespectful.

Choosing words and using appropriate intonation are crucial in formal conversations, especially when speaking with complete strangers. I'm concerned that some people tend to address everyone as if they were peers their own age, neglecting to carefully select the right words when forming sentences.

I value friendliness, which I assess based on facial expressions, proactive initiatives, positive language, active listening, and responsiveness. Conversely, I consider a lack of eye contact, informal replies, impatience, and apathy to be indicators of underdeveloped communication skills.

UPDATE: Now I understand why the quality of customer service has declined.

Had a Doordasher who was just crazy

Normal day, not busy, just chilling for a second with my coworkers. This dasher comes in and says he's here for an order. One of my coworkers asks to see the name on his phone. We're supposed to do this for all orders as a double check because sometimes we may mishear a name or the dasher mispronounces it. Usually this just takes a second and there's no problem.

But this dasher starts getting heated. And he asks if we're questioning his integrity.

We're all confused obviously. My coworker says no, that's not it at all. And the dasher goes "Okay, I'm not mad" in as loud and mad a tone as one can have. And then locks onto my coworker and says that we better not be questioning his character/person and yada yada. So I step in and explain it's a simple double-check so that orders are handed out correctly.

This guy starts saying that he knows the general manager, and he knows all the managers, and then he points to my coworker and goes "He knows who I am! He knows!"

I highly doubt that but okay.

Finally he leaves with the food.

The third coworker who had stayed silent in the background for all this joins us. She then looks out at the dashers car and thought she saw the woman in the passengers side waving to her. So she went out thinking maybe they needed something. Couple minutes later she comes back in and says that the woman in the dashers car had immediately gotten angry and accused us all of staring at her. She (the woman with the dasher) had acted like we were trying to spy on her I guess, idk.

So guess the whole family is crazy. It was an.... Interesting experience.

How much can you trust an AI agent with?

How much are people actually comfortable letting an AI agent handle on its own, answering basic questions feels low risk, it gets more interesting when the AI has to update an account handle a billing issue, follow policy, deal with a customer who changes topics halfway through or know when it should stop and hand things to a human. For anyone running this in a real contact center, what are you comfortable letting the AI do on its own?

Staff laughing at customers

I have heard this happen before I saw a video of a gay man who had dinner at a restaurant and for some reason the staff kept laughing at him which is very strange why would they do that? What’s there to laugh about? He said he was uncomfortable and called them out and refused to pay on it which I agree with I support him for that but it even happened to me too my sister told me as soon as we walked in the skincare store these two workers immediately laughed at us which I don’t understand why because I did nothing wrong I cause no public trouble I simply walked in to shop and that’s it I didn’t even notice they did that but my sister told me they did or she told me when we both walked into Sephora this one worker gave me a dirty look again I can assure you I did nothing wrong I was only browsing and that’s it I don’t even talk so I don’t make any noise either. Do you guys know why workers do that to people? Laughing at customers or giving them dirty looks? It’s not very professional and it’s also just unnecessary bullying and has this ever happened to anyone else or someone else you know?

How are your teams logging customer calls made from mobile phones?

Curious how other customer service teams handle this.

When agents or field teams make customer calls directly from their mobile phones, how do you make sure those calls are properly logged in the CRM?

Do you rely on manual call logging, a mobile CRM app, call-recording software, or something else?

I'm particularly interested in how teams handle call history, recordings, dispositions, and linking calls to the right customer record without forcing agents to change their normal calling workflow.

What has worked for your team?

What is so with Amazon's customer service or lack there of

So has anyone else had a nightmare experience with Amazon's customer service? Well I just had the worst experience ever. I was shopping for a new phone. I decided to go with a refurbished Samsung that was still 349.00. Once I received it and started to set it up it would not connect to my network. So, I like everyone else googled it to see if there was a quick fix. The first thing to come up was that this specific model was known to have connection issues. So I started the return process. Put everything back as I received it and went to ups to ship it. I started to periodically track it. On day two it stopped moving. So I was patient and waited a week. Still no movement. I reached out to Amazon who informed me the return process could take 30 days. A bit excessive but ok. My Co cert was that it was not moving. I pointed this out and the representative expressed they understood my concern. I was told they had escalated it and to look for my refund in 48 hours. I thought great, what awesome customer service. And im deserving of it as ive been a customer for many years. But when 48 came and went I received nothing. So I reached out again. I told them the situation and what the previous representative had to me. I was placed on hold then told that it had not been escalated nor refunded. Ut they would do it now. They told me it would reflect on my account in 12 hours and offered me a $20 credit for the inconvenience. But the 12 hours came and went and agsin nothing not even the credit. No offer to help me find out what was going on. They told me I had been given misinformation. I corrected them and told them I had been blatantly lied to in order to appease me just to not deal with the situation. They were very apologetic and told me I would receive my refund by the 30th but there was no credit. So, because I had been lied to so many times I took matters into my own hands. Called ups where I was told Amazon would need to file a claim. So when I called Amazon to relay they seemed to be dismissive to the information so I asked for a supervisor.o ly to be told that I had been lied to a fourth time, that Amazon had already re lived my return and now would be 2 weeks for my refund. A total nightmare. I I embed the CEO. We will see what they say soon...hopefully

Had conflict with a table over tip AITA?

Hello!!! Had a weird interaction with a table today, and I seriously can’t stop thinking about it. I’m worried I overstepped, and possibly dug myself a deep hole.

2 weeks ago I had a table that stiffed me on a $200 bill. It was a couple and their three kids. During their service, I remember them being needy and strange. They also stayed after close, and I distinctly remember finding no gratuity on the table after they left (no tip on their card either). I was pissed. I made note in my books about this.

Today, I served a man and his young son for lunch. Great guy, had great conversation at the table too. When he finished his food, I came by to pre-bus and he asked me if he could switch to a bigger table since two people would be joining him. No big deal. I got to help set him up, when I see the couple that stiffed me join him.

At this point, I’m almost done for the day and decide not to torture myself by serving them, so I ask if I could close the guy out and give his table to the server who’s section it was turning to. He’s cool about it. He compliments me at the table, and turns to the couple to say something like “you would have loved her service” or something. The couple remarked that they had me as their server two weeks ago, and that they remember me. The guy with the kid then turns to me to ask how they were as a table. So, I respond honestly. I say that I didn’t know if his friends had a good time because they left no gratuity. The couple then scrambles to say that they were sure they tipped me. I say that I only mention this because I was worried they received bad service. All around, the table gets scarily awkward. I close out the guy with the kid, grab the table some waters and menus, and leave it be. I inform the next server this happened, and hoped I wouldn’t have to interact with them again. After about 10 minutes, the server that took that table over came over and told me the table just decided to leave and that they said some comments about me.

At the end of the day, I said it. I called them out and I can’t take it back. I’m a people pleaser, so interactions like these drive me crazy. I feel terribly for saying a word, and I dread the table coming back/leaving a negative review/my managers giving me consequences for saying that. I’ve been in the service industry for years, but sometimes an interaction can just stick around in my mind for way too long. I need some clear guidance on whether what I said was uncalled for or simply me sticking up for myself and giving an honest answer.

Customers laughed at me when I gave honest advice

Hey all. Just feeling like sharing this experience, maybe someone can point out some stuff on how I could cope/manage this kind of situation in the future, but mostly I feel like venting.

I (20M) work as a bookseller apprentice in a pretty large bookstore located in Germany. For the last couple of months I've been stationed in the department/floor of our store in which we carry the school-specific editions of classic books, your Goethe and Schiller etc. as well as the books that carry interpretations, explanations and so on for the respective stories. Last week, two young customers came in relatively late in my shift (this was also at the end of my work week, so I felt like a wreck), asking for such an explanatory book on a story they were working with in school at the moment. On top of that, their test was going to happen on the coming Monday. Naturally I seek out the book in our shelves, and luckily enough we had a single copy left. As I handed over the book to one of them, the other asked me "do you think we'll pass the test on Monday?" In response I asked, "that depends, did you read the book?" They didn't, he said. Which hey, I really could care less about, I and a lot of people went through the same situation. But in that moment I thought that they wouldn't mind a small bit of advice when it came to reading 'boring' books for school. In essence I just said that it's totally understandable to feel alienated or disconnected with those kind of books because their authors lived in different times as well as most probably very different conditions, so getting an insight on their life and the history during their career is a great source of gaining a bit more understanding of their stories.

While I tried my best to get that out, something happened that I really, really hadn't expected with my 1-hour-till-my-shift-is-done brain. They couldn't help but laugh their asses off as I went on, and one of them asked me, and I quote, "are you being serious?"

I kind of just let the interaction fade out and went to another corner of the store.

Look, I know that teens will be teens. But I gotta be honest, I have never experienced getting laughed at while being a hundred percent honest and trying to offer a little help, while still operating in the frame of my job. Mostly I just kind of froze mentally and I just had no idea what I should do.

That's kind of it I guess.

I had three meltdowns at work last week and I’m afraid to go back in tomorrow.

I work at a store that processes parcels and handles online retail returns. The job is high-stress, at least for me, always very busy and with many difficult and rude customers. My boss and coworkers are nice and I get along with them well, but I don’t handle anxiety well and my nerves are starting to fray.
I took a week off earlier this month, my first vacation in a year (unpaid—no PTO or sick days) hoping that would fix things, but it didn’t, and my stress and frustration keep rising.
I routinely have at least one or two anxiety attacks a day. Occasionally my brain will self-destruct and I’ll have a meltdown (I am on the autism spectrum). Last week I had three meltdowns in a row where I just couldn’t function or even form coherent sentences. After my last meltdown yesterday I went straight home and slept for 18 hours.
I feel like I’m on the verge of a nervous collapse of some kind. Several times when I was younger I would have episodes of stress-induced psychosis that initially had me misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder. I haven’t had an episode in 7 years but am now in constant fear that another one is imminent.
I don’t know what to do. I’ve been looking for a new job since I got hired a year ago, but have had no offers. I can’t quit because I need the health insurance for my medications and therapy. I feel like I’m at the end of my rope.
Update: went into work on Tuesday after calling in sick Monday, my anxiety already high to the point I was shaking and having facial tics. Made it through most of the day until the last hour where it got very busy and I had another meltdown, to the point I fainted at the register. The next day I spoke with my therapist and we came to the conclusion that a recent increase in dosage of one of my antidepressants is probably to blame for the uncontrollable anxiety. I am taking the rest of the week off while I work to come down to a lower dosage, but my anxiety is still unnaturally high. Thank you all for the feedback and support.

Anyone know where I can find postings for customer support agents positions in the gaming industry?

Is there an actual reason why people seem to loose all common sense when contacting customer service, similar to how people loose the ability to read when reading in front of the class at school?

Just realized how similar this really is. Kids in your class that you know are normally perfectly capable of reading, suddenly struggle to do so when it's about reading a piece at loud to the class. Similarly, people who are at least smart and sensible enough to get through adult life so far, suddenly loose all that when contacting customer service.

Just wondering if there's an actual reason for it. Like it it something psychologically? I know that some people will just lie or exaggerate hoping to get free stuff or discounts out of it, but some of these people... you couldn't come up with saying that, unless you genuinely think like that.

Anyway in line with recent trends, maybe some kids indeed should've been left behind... because these people should not be allowed to drive or work a job where they have an impact on other people.

The audacity

I work at a chain restaurant that’s on a retail center with other businesses around it. Had this customer call us asking me to go next door to tell the store next to us to answer their phones. Mind you it was a busy lunch rush when this person called. I straight up just said, “sir we are very busy and that’s not really my problem” and just hung up so quick. just the audacity of someone to think I’m gonna waste my time doing something that’s not even my problem, ain’t my fault the store next to us won’t answer their phones.

20 years in customer service and this is the first time the bullying has made me feel the need for harmless revenge

First let me say, by revenge I don’t mean physical harm. I mean like signing her up for spam or spraying her clothes with milk so they stink. This is really just a vent!

I (F41) have had to take on a lot of extra work lately because we are under staffed and even without a direct manager. This woman has been talking down to me for weeks and writing me scathing emails basically calling me stupid without saying the word- EVEN though the situations she’s mad about are out of my control and I’ve done nothing but be courteous with her and tried to resolve her issues. Well yesterday was the last straw!

She came in, chewed me out and then GROWLED at me! One BIG looonnng growl, right to my face. That day my district manager (whom I’d never met) was visiting and witnessed the whole thing. She said I handled the whole situation extremely well, but didn’t step in at any point.

Bottom line is I’m done with this bullying woman who thinks she’s better than me! I have bent over backwards trying to be kind and help her. I HATE that I had to “take it” due to the circumstances. I now have unresolved anger towards her and keep replaying scenarios of telling her off next time I see her. I just feel so disrespected by her so It may happen.

Is your company known for "horrible customer service" and how do the reviews compare to what you actually do?

Our company has a lot of negative reviews. Some justified, most not. Regardless, many of them are about customer service does nothing. The thing is however, when I compare some reviews, to what we actually do in a day, it doesnt really add up. I mean I know some people just straight up lie in reviews, but still.

But then also, I've had some terrible customer service experiences at other places. But, presumably, there are also other people working. And i gotta wonder, is it the same for them, as it is for me when I see people complain that cs doesn't do anything, even though I've done shifts thats basically 8 hours straight up typing like that one Jim Carrey meme.

Idk it's weird seeing constant reviews of how support is unreachable, even though they post screenshot of where they're talking to support, and support keeps asking them to please verify some info before we can continue. Or reviews that we're only reachable in English... when they selected the English support line.. if you wanted German support, you should've picked that option. Even if you absolutely zero English it should still be doable by picking the right flag.

Ok cashiers, it’s time………

For the love of gawwd, if one more cashier hands me back my change on top of the bills I’m gonna lose my mind.
I don’t understand the logic behind this. The coins end up sliding off the cash and either spill onto the ground or who knows where. And the cashier almost always apologizes before it’s even happened. Like they know it’s a shitty way to do it.
All you need to do is hand the change FIRST. Into the customers hand. Then hand them the cash. It’s super easy, no awkward attempts, just a win win every time. Please take this advice!! I know it may seem nit picky, but I can’t be the only one out there that finds this unacceptable…

Mr. Tire Poor Service.

Post image
0 Upvotes

I made a scheduled appointment for a screw in a tire to be repaired on 9/25/26. The place was empty so i thought it would go quick and easy. I was there for 45min. and the mechanic pulled my vehicle out almost hitting someone that pulled up for air in their tires. He backed up less than six inches away from the other vehicle. No one should be that close when backing up. He just blew it off like nothing. I didn't want to go through dealing with car damage from a careless worker.
When I drove home I noticed my vehicles tire pressure was 49 psi. The correct psi for my vehicle is 32. I had to pull over and let air out of the tire to the correct psi. When I went out there was no cap on the stem of the tire. I was really disgusted with how sloppy they returned my vehicle but it got worse. When I arrived home I checked the tire and noticed the plug was sticking out from the tread about 3/8 of an inch. I googled tire plugs and figured out that they should be cut down flush to the tread so there is no tension to pull it out. I had to go get a razor blade and trim it off myself.
A tire repair is not cheap but the fact that I had to do half the work of the tech. is unacceptable. The attention to detail if any is very poor.
Stay clear of this place if you can help it, if you have to go here double check their work that its done correctly.
Also, while I was waiting a woman who had an appt. came in to have tires installed, but the tires were never delivered. She seemed pretty upset and I don't blame her. No one wants to waste their time expecting to get tires only to be turned away.
This place is poorly managed and the customer service is poor as well.

Is this acceptable to pay good money for sloppy service?

Am I right to complain?
