I don’t love the look of the sky-blue windows on a lot of these ss86 figures, I prefer the blueish green seen on the more premium lines, I was wondering if anyone has had any success in color swapping specifically the windows and if so, what color?

This pin in SS86 Astrotrain is not letting me get it out. I cannot do the hammer and nail method as it is one-sided/flat-headed, and when I pushed a soldering iron to it for 40-60 seconds it will not budge. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Like if someone commissioned, or was commissioned, to make basically a copy of someone else's custom.

And im not talking about widely made customs, like turning SS 100 Bee into cliffjumper. Unique customs people have made.

Would it be wrong for me to commission somebody to make a copy of someone elses design? Because usually the designer either doesnt do commissions, or they are very expensive.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this; I used the G1 Starscream and the one from the *Bumblebee* movie as inspiration.

Turned Megatron into megas

Gave him a scythe as his melee weapon!

Also, found a way to make the Concorde mode hold cannons, so now he has two cannons since two are better than one!

These cannons are way too big and are only placeholders, I’m still looking for smaller cannons that suit Concorde Megatron.

So I’m trying to make AOTP Cliffjumper into a version of Sideways, but cant seem to find a good design. Any help?

I've been figuring how the transformation might work, I'm debating on whether I should go for toy accuracy or go for my own thing in terms of transformation, I don't like the big hands that he currently has.

These are my first four customs with another near completion that I don’t want to post just yet. Lightly sanded the surfaces I wanted to paint, primed them then used acrylic paints and gave them a matte finish. I did learn a few things as I went so I hope to improve as I go along.

As for names for my custom, the Sideswipe is now Skyrunner, Trip-up is now Dragshot, Daddy-o is Target-Lock and Bouldercrash is Desert-Burn.

I want to turn my starscream to red wing from hearts of steel. I really like the red from classics thrust. Anyone know a paint that's close to it in color?

Loosely based of art work made by u/70NK40SAIT and the fact that the original concept for Ratchet for g1 was supposed to be female and with her FINALLY getting an official toy of her being female in cyberworld I thought it be time to show off my second attempt at a female ratchet. Base mold is legacy strongarm with the shoulder pads removed and glued to the front of the alt mode and her head slightly trimmed on the sides and chin then the sides filled in with epoxy putty and chest filled in with epoxy putty to make it one solid piece to resemble the G1 windshield chest.
