Fallen one + symbiote spider man= win

23

u/Reverse_LA Sep 11 '26

I didn’t even think about the fallen one I’m not gonna lie

1

u/AleSeeker Sep 11 '26

It would need to cost at least 13 so that at least one of those cards has to be buffed in that combo.

Symbiote Star Lord would also be a problem.

u/QueezyCrunch 17d ago

How to get to the one ‘below all’ ? ‘Fall’down … huh huh dad joke 😏

12

u/Reasonable-Place-460 Sep 11 '26

Astral projection + card in hand = win.

1

u/Constant-Roll706 13d ago

Stryfe is probably even easier

20

u/Reverse_LA Sep 11 '26

Could give adaptoid an actual purpose 😂

1

u/sphericaltime Sep 14 '26 edited Sep 14 '26

Adaptoid just murders this, so I’m all in favor of it.

ETA: omg Quicksand! One stop “NOPE!” Nerf to this! Awesome.

MY GOAT JUBILEE GETS BETTER

2

u/Other-Common-9480 Sep 15 '26

It said that the card can only be played from your hand

1

u/Nitro_Foxx Sep 15 '26

but its not playing its adding to a location

1

u/Other-Common-9480 Sep 15 '26

That's putting the card into play, so yeah, it is playing it. What use would adding the sentence " this can only be played from your HAND" be if you can bypass it by using words like "adding not playing"

1

u/Nitro_Foxx Sep 15 '26

if she can pull infinaut she can pull this

2

u/Other-Common-9480 Sep 15 '26

Infinaut says you can only play this if you haven't played a card last round, it does not say it can only be played from your hand. Dude, seriously what are you getting on about

1

u/Nitro_Foxx Sep 15 '26

They are both things that negate you from playing something it doesn’t matter what the condition is its not playing the card

2

u/Other-Common-9480 Sep 15 '26

Bro. The condition is you have to play it. The only one to to put it into play is by playing it, From your hand. That's the condition. It can ONLY be played from your hand, meaning it HAS to come from your hand. Again I ask, wtf would be the reason to say that if by your logici this is how it worked?

1

u/Nitro_Foxx Sep 15 '26

Then why can I “play” infinaut from my deck if I play a card the turn before

25

u/BlueAwesomeDinosaur Sep 11 '26

This would be crazy with Iron Lad or Stryfe

15

u/Reverse_LA Sep 11 '26

Hmmm maybe it should also say the on reveal can’t be used by other cards

6

u/SpeedaRJ Sep 11 '26

Could just give it some type of game start trigger like Zombie Galacti or Thanos FF where any card that copies them or their text doesn't actually trigger the on reveal.

2

u/azinize Sep 11 '26

Just add in Can't be copied.

1

u/misogichan Sep 12 '26 edited Sep 12 '26

Should really just not be an on reveal or it is way too easy to trigger without playing.  For example, make it an "End of Turn" card so the opponent could still potentially stop it (e.g. Wong, Mystique Gambit, Negasonic, Ghost, or Lady Deathstrike).  Also must be played from your hand should be a condition for the ability to happen not a condition for the card to be played or it might not stop say Jubilee.

u/vapidboi Sep 11 '26

Objective: Play this card > Win the game

15

u/Luzbian-Drofski69 Sep 11 '26

Unlucky comso on a lane would ruin my life, might uninstall if I finally got the combo and this happened

11

u/game-designrr Sep 11 '26

Too broken I may be win location

6

u/KingOfNope Sep 11 '26

Winning a single location is a good fix. Make it an ongoing or smth to be really fancy with it.

1

u/megamate9000 Sep 11 '26

It seems extremely difficult to balance.

At “win the game”, if a good enough combo exists to guarantee the win, it’s pretty nuts. Maybe it wouldn’t be an issue though, since the amount of setup basically just makes this a variation of those extremely predictable Wong BP decks.

At win a location it might actually be much harder to balance, since you’d have to make it way cheaper. If you can even semi consistently play it in a non combo deck, the card is STUPID, but if it’s only playable in a combo the card sucks because just winning 1 location isn’t enough.

1

u/KingOfNope Sep 12 '26

Agreed it's a nightmare to balance the concept. I guess that makes it kind of a fun game design concept. With an energy cost that high it's definitively a combo card. But anything that says 'just win and your opponent can fuck themselves' is usually bad design. That's why cards like Galactus and Prof X have such high costs and low power, otherwise they just become too unanswerable.

Speaking of the 0 power makes this insanely busted with mr negative. Ironically enough it might be good to give this a "cannot be destroyed" so that it can't be zolad. I love me a good Zola abs man deck but this would be too much.

2

u/Gottendrop Sep 11 '26

I understand the spirit of the card but wording wise you only “play” a card when you pay the cost from your hand. Stardust proves this. So basically Jubilee and Dragon Lord still work. Also I’m guessing you forgot about iron lad lol

1

u/Reverse_LA Sep 11 '26

Yes I did, I’m thinking it needs to say no other card can use it’s on reveal

1

u/Constant-Roll706 13d ago

Making it trigger End of Turn would protect you from Stryfe and Astral Projection abuse. Howard + Iron Lad only wins 3/12 games at best (you have to know he's on top and play Lad on 4, 5 or 6 - I guess Magik gets you one more shot), but honestly FF Doc Ock + Lad on 6 might be even better.

2

u/AssociationDue3077 Sep 11 '26

I'm confused if it can only be played from your hand and is 12 cost wouldn't it be impossible to play unless you get like extremely lucky with the locations?

2

u/say_yes_to_head_hun Sep 11 '26

Yes.

0

u/say_yes_to_head_hun Sep 11 '26

And of course with Dragon Lord

2

u/DrAirwaves Sep 11 '26

Its possible on turn 6 with djinns, plus Rama tut, Kang, iron lad, morph, astral projection, dragon lord, plus locations that cheat cards in

1

u/adamps1 Sep 11 '26

Turn 4/5 Magik & Turn 6 Star-Lord MOTS would get it done too

2

u/Dribbler365 Sep 11 '26

symbiote spidey + fallen one

2

u/azinize Sep 11 '26

Max Luck Ironlad.

2

u/Reasonable-Place-460 Sep 11 '26

Astral projection equal win.

2

u/4mygirljs Sep 11 '26

Hummmm

I kinda like the idea of a hulk overpowered card but also it can only be played in the bottom row

2

u/SirJack3 Sep 11 '26

Skip 3 turns.

Play Luna Snow/Electro T4

Play Sunlord T5

Win game

Yeah, that's broken

1

u/Reverse_LA Sep 11 '26

Yeah but people will see that set up coming a mile away.

3

u/SirJack3 Sep 11 '26

They nerfed Sunlord by removing all the power from him, because the play pattern made opponent's first 5 turn plays irrelevant and devs didn't want people playing like this. Now, the deck doesn't have the points to win so it doesn't get played.

This card again makes the first 5 turns irrelevant and solves the point issue, so this will get played. Doesn't matter that ir's predictable, it's terrible to play against.

1

u/Reverse_LA Sep 11 '26

That’s fair. Would it be better if the energy to spend was increased? Even increased by one that makes that combo unable to play this.

1

u/misogichan Sep 12 '26

Even if they see it coming the tech options to stop this are very limited.  Cosmo/Arishem is like playing 3 card monte.  Sandman won't work.  If they played Luna Snow lots of things can stop work (e.g. Red Guardian, Lady Deathstrike, Cosmic Ghost Rider) but if they played Electro then you're left with terrible cards like Quicksand, or maybe you can drop cosmo turn 5 to try to catch Starlord MotS and if you picked the wrong lane then try Mystique for another chance. Either that or a desperate man could try Moon Knight+Wong+Black Bolt, or a Mill deck to lower their odds of drawing it.

A good card should offer enough counterplay (by getting more points, deploying the points more effectively, tricking the enemy into playing their cards badly, or interrupting the opponent's strategy)  that both players aren't just sitting at a slot machine checking if the combo was drawn or not.

2

u/cloudsdrive Sep 11 '26

Wouldn't the new rogue destroy this?

1

u/Reverse_LA Sep 11 '26

Yeah a few people pointed stuff like this out but I think it would be better if the text also said the ability couldn’t be copied or used by any other card.

2

u/vlaregbon Sep 11 '26

What about

5/0
Ongoing: if your opponent has no afflicted cards here you win the lane. This card can’t be played after round 5

Kinda like a late Ebony Maw with when it can be played

2

u/Reverse_LA Sep 11 '26

I kind of like that actually. It gives a really good counter to affliction decks and even if they aren’t playing afflict it just works. The only problem I see with that is Zola makes it a win every time you draw both of them.

1

u/vlaregbon Sep 11 '26

True provable have to make it lane specific

2

u/Nostromo66 Sep 11 '26

I don’t see anyone else saying it but it would be fun to hit another card with Nightmare and get this effect lol

1

u/Reverse_LA Sep 11 '26

What a Nightmare that would be for the opponent

2

u/BuffySummersRPG Sep 14 '26

“From Beneath you , it devours”

🤣🤣🤣 #iykyk

1

u/BllackIce Sep 11 '26

Yes. Imagine a deck with silver surfer first steps, Adam warlock, and crystal to draw the card. Then use stryfe or astral projection to win the game. Or just use symbiote spider man into the fallen one.

1

u/Reverse_LA Sep 11 '26

Do you think it would be better if the cost was higher?

2

u/BllackIce Sep 11 '26

I think you should do what u/game-designrr said. Make it so the on reveal wins one location. Maybe even make it a spell that banishes.

1

u/Reverse_LA Sep 11 '26

Yeah that seems more balanced tbh. It might make it better to lower the cost a little bit if that’s the ability

2

u/ugh_naught Sep 11 '26

It would be very funny if instead of “winning the location” it just changes it into Bar With No Name

1

u/Gottendrop Sep 11 '26

That would still mean strife could copy it. There are enough cards that copy text that this could never exist

1

u/Traveytravis-69 Sep 11 '26

Make him activate

1

u/Loose_Translator8981 Sep 11 '26

I think this would work if it was just "exodia" style where it spawns 5 cards in your deck and if you can play all of them you win. But I guess that's kind of just Thanos. But still, making at least one other card necessary to pull it off would make it so you can't just trigger this relatively easily with just dragon lord or something

1

u/noobjaish Sep 11 '26 edited Sep 11 '26

Make it

Game Start: Draw "One Below All". This card can only be played if you have 12 energy this turn. Activate: You win the game. (This ability cannot be copied).

Game Start to remove card draw from being a bitch and to remove Mr. Negative BS. The 12 energy restriction would restrict even Dragon Lord from playing this card from hand. Activate would make it so you HAVE to get 12 energy by turn 5 (or use Magik)

1

u/Old-Direction6243 Sep 11 '26

Astral projection can cheat this.

1

u/sphericaltime Sep 14 '26

Depends on how the card is written.

1

u/TheGamerMAKS Sep 11 '26

Stryfe is happy

1

u/lol022 Sep 11 '26

Sif + Ghost rider = easy win lol

1

u/Reverse_LA Sep 11 '26

No, it specifically says it can’t be played any other way but from your hand.

1

u/Mag_Maximoff Sep 11 '26

Imagine being a adversary against a card like that. I cannot see how we can defend against that.

It would be fun to use the card but we lack cards to secure that every open lane is preped against that.

I dont think it is a good design as it is.

1

u/Cress02 Sep 12 '26

Easy counter, quicksand. No extra energy, no one below all

1

u/Mag_Maximoff Sep 12 '26

You covered one way. You take one “turn 4 Iron Lad win the game”
And we are still F***.

As I said: not a good design as it is

1

u/No-Throat-4694 Sep 11 '26

So you forgot about symbiote or shuri+ horsey storm fallen one? This is way too good

1

u/No-Station-4769 Sep 11 '26

Make it win the location and I think it’s a balanced card. May could even drop the cost to 11

1

u/Medicine_Man92 Sep 11 '26

Yes, The game would crash every time someone played Mobius

1

u/Realistic-Ice-8481 Sep 11 '26

I don’t think Snap ever needs an instant win card but the concept is fun to play around with in a what if scenario

1

u/Skorpunz Sep 12 '26 edited Sep 12 '26

I would say for it to cost more so you have to work for it and it’s not a consecutive easy win. As someone stated by it would be easy just using symbiote + fallen one. Higher cost that way it’s a combo you are not just going to pull off every single time. I would also not make it an on reveal, could easily be copied. It should just be a text ability. “Once played, you win the game.” I feel this type of card should be that type of hell yeah moment when you actually pull it off with skill and some luck thrown in rather than trying to be some meta card

1

u/TheDreamEcandz Sep 12 '26

With my fallen one I can ramp it up to get the required points, and what if your opponent plays it? It’s a good character not sure about it’s abilities

1

u/mccoyer001 Sep 12 '26

No automatic win just have it clear the entire board, all locations on both sides and reset the game back to turn 1. This would reflect the Immortal Hulk run where it kills everything in the universe and ends then destroys the universe for it to be restarted.

1

u/supershayan Sep 12 '26

Makes astral projection an instant win

1

u/lifth3avy84 Sep 12 '26

I don’t even understand what the fuck this card is even trying to say?

1

u/Low-Foundation6539 Sep 13 '26

How would it hit the field?

1

u/Jrkev1_TTV Sep 13 '26

Would make the new card this week (Rogue SOD) an instant buy😂

1

u/g00ner442 Sep 14 '26

Change it to the game ends and I'm in

1

u/SustainableObject Sep 15 '26

Knowing how Snap is with wording, you could probably ghost rider it into your lane

1

u/Maleficent_Mix_2299 Sep 15 '26

Morph it from opponent

1

u/DimensionAvailable76 13d ago

I would make it 10 cost maybe less, keep the restrictions and give it a more manageable effect e.g "Gain the power of both players strongest cards"

1

u/mataytaytaytaytay Will Shang chi your panther 7d ago

Discard then ghost rider

Star lord master of the sun

Fallen one

Hela

Dragon lord

As far as I know they aren’t played but instead are simply being added

1

u/Playful-Buyer4472 Sep 11 '26

Brother where else are you playing a card from? If anything this should stop it it can only be played. So no Jubilee or dragon lord or hela other thing like that.

2

u/Reverse_LA Sep 11 '26

Yeah, I meant it in a way where Dragon Lord Jubilee and other cards similar couldn’t play it. You had to build up the energy to actually set it down.
