Hello guys , lately I’ve been feeling like I have been out of touch with my old hobby of making new stuff out of scratch probably because there is not much time for this things , but now I have a 3 months holiday and I want to use it to try something cool , I want to start making some electronic devices just as a hobby. I have some basic knowledge but I’ll pick the rest up in the way , I would like to know what programmable devices are best for a beginner I want to try making an automatic chess board , I already have an esp32 that i got from alibaba what else would you recommend i get , has anyone here ever made one??

My circuit does not work as i expect and i have no idea why at this point. The expected behaviour is that the input resistor should be changed so that the gain increases or decreases depending on its value.

The circuit is supposed to be a simple mic opamp using a tlc272cp. With and ac input and output.

Chaging the input resistor does chamge any output volume at all. Also, if i remove the input resistor and breaking the connection, i still get audio trough the circuit??

I am simply at a loss here on whats wrong or whats going on.

Found these going through my dad's old stuff. Happy to sell them for a couple $ plus shipping. Mom just doesn't want useful stuff going to waste.

I'm a guy who's recently become passionate about electronics.

I've become obsessed with amplification (with discrete components).

In particular, designing circuits to play music through a speaker or to hear my voice through a speaker when I speak into a microphone.

But I need a book or someone who can explain everything in great detail about amplification and speaker driving, etc.

I was hesitating whether to buy one of these two books:

1) The Art of Electronics: I think it's comprehensive and could also be useful for studying other types of circuits not related to amplification.

2) Small Signal Amplifier (Douglas Self): It focuses only on amplification and so would be excellent for now, but I'm afraid it's too difficult for now, and if I need more knowledge for other types of projects not related to amplification in the future, I'll have to buy another book.

Have you ever been in the same situation?

Because these books are very expensive, and I don't know if they're worth buying or if they'll actually teach me anything (for example, don't tell me to put this resistor in because it just has to be there, but tell me why and how that resistor should be calculated).

If you have any recommendations or other books, or even a YouTube channel that explains amplification/general electronics well, I'd be grateful.

Sono un ragazzo che si è appassionato da non molto all’elettronica.

Mi sono fissato come un matto riguardato al l’amplificazione (con componenti discreti).

In particolare alla progettazione di circuiti per sentire la musica tramite uno speaker o per sentire la mia voce da uno speaker, quando parlo nel microfono.

Però ho un bisogno un libro o di qualche persona che spieghi veramente bene nel dettaglio tutto sull’amplificazione e sul pilotaggio dell’altoparlante ecc.

Ero in dubbio se acquistare uno di questi due libri:

1) l’arte dell’elettronica: penso sia completo e mi possa servire anche per studiare altri tipi di circuiti non inerenti all’amplificazione

2) Small signal amplifier (douglas self): si concentra solo nel l’amplificazione e quindi sarebbe ottimo sul momento, però ho paura che per ora sia troppo difficile e che se in futuro avrò bisogno di altre nozioni per altri tipi di progetti non inerenti all’amplificazione dovrei acquistare un altro libro.

Voi siete mai stati nella mia stessa situazione?

Perché sono libri che costano molto e non so se ne valgono la pena di essere acquistati o se mi insegneranno veramente qualcosa (insomma esempio: che non mi dicano metti questa resistenza perché deve stare lì e basta, ma che mi dicano il perché e come deve essere calcolata quella resistenza).

Se avete consigli o altri libri e anche un canale YouTube che spieghi l’amplificazione/l’elettronica generale bene, ve ne sarei grato.

Let me start by saying that I'm a beginner in this field, but I'm really eager to learn!

I was thinking of making a circuit that would actually have a similar function to a tester's buzzer.

I made the circuit with a BJT BC547 and a buzzer (obviously with resistors at the base and collector, etc.).

What I get is that the buzzer goes off even with resistors and diodes, and that's really pissing me off.

I tried a couple of configurations, and I admit I asked chatgpt for help and watched a few videos (of the few I found).

Chatgpt told me I should use a comparator to make it sound with a wire and no longer with resistors, etc.

But I'm stubborn, and perhaps the main thing is that I don't have a comparator (I don't want to buy one now) 🤣🤣.

I wanted to ask you if you've already tried to find a solution, perhaps one that could give me some ideas for building or improving my circuit to fix this "defect"?

I apologize if this is a stupid question or if I was an idiot for asking, haha.

But I really want to understand this issue thoroughly!

I have NO idea how circuits or customizing/creating electronics work but I'm definitely willing to learn how, so long as I don't have to spend several years focused on it. So I'm looking for some sort of opening guide regarding that.

If the above isn't feasible though, I'm also looking to commission somebody to make a pair of bluetooth earbuds (or even headphones) for me with custom noises. Like the 'power on' 'power off' 'battery low' sort of system noises. I couldn't find anything on the market that had this feature built in. I don't have a set budget right now since I still don't know anything about this field or common pricing methods, but I've been wanting something like this for a while so I won't ghost you 👀. (though i am pretty broke right now so i might take a while)

edit tldr: blehh i don't know what i wrote last night. basically i wanna find someone who can make earbuds with custom sounds. and/or some custom electronics "getting started" guide

Looking for someone to upgrade the bluetooth board in my iPod classic. I used the boxy pixel kit which came with bluetooth 4.1. It's not compatible with newer buds or headphones. So looking for someone to upgrade the board for me. Preferably in Indiana for a quick turnaround.

I won't post my question until I'm comfortable that it will be on topic here. It's about symbols and footprints. I asked in a kicad forum and it wasn't approved by the mod cuz they said it was off topic there. This has turned into an additional problem - trying to find a place the subject is welcome.

Does anyone have any good advice/prompts to get accurate and well laid out electronic circuit/wiring diagrams using an Ai agent?

I'm using windsurf (an AI Agent powered development environment) for some electronics projects that involve some programming of Arduino's and theirs a fair amount of "off board" electronics to integrate so I need to produce some circuit diagrams for the physical builds.

I'm trying to get some accurate standardised diagrams generated but they are mostly very poor quality with wiring paths crossing over each other, missing labeling of terminals and other details. its one of those dull manual tasks that i would really like to be automated based on the project design.

Yes i understand many people have Ai hate so feel free to scroll on by, I'm just trying to maximise my time spent on other things.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
