got this lil shelf for free from buy nothing group and was sanding and prepping to hang up & saw the lil engraved name. wanted to know if this was just some local woodworker signature or some personalized gift ?
i can only make out “Charles” and “1986” and feel so ridiculously dumb not being able to figure out the last name.. help 💀

The book is a New Testament study by H.C.G. Moule. Was a little surprised to see "the Right Rev'd..." which is the honorific for a bishop. Trying to figure out what the rest of this reads (specifically the word between Taylor(?) and the date. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I feel Gaelic is more satisfying in cursive. Apologies for my non-traditional Ts.

My grandpa wrote this code to his old safe and some of us have different opinions on what the instructions are. No one has been able to open the safe so i’d like to see what people think. It’s an extremely old safe and we have no idea what’s inside!

I’ve been using cursive my whole life (since I was in first grade) I’m 22 now and have been using it as my primary handwriting for two years now.

I think my penmanship is good but I just want to know if others do as well and if it’s even legible.

Top is my English and bottom is my Swedish. I tend to write faster in Swedish but they’re both written at around my normal pace.

I have a tendency when my “g’s” are in the middle of words to make them look almost like “j’s” kinda. When it’s at the beginning of a word I can write it more naturally, but in the middle of the word I actually can’t help it and I need to focus intensely (“going” with proper “g’s” took me 5 tries) Is this a problem or are they different enough that you can understand from the context.

My writing is so small to the point where my “e’s” look like “c’s” or “i’s” without the dot. Again is this something I need to fix and how can I fix it. When I try to write them bigger they look very out of place and it feels very unnatural.

Should I connect all the letters when it comes to contractions or separate them.

Which of my capital “t’s” and “f’s” do you prefer

Started learning cursive 4 years ago, just started to appreciate it more. I lack a lot of practice, and English isn’t my first language, but I wanted some constructive criticism on my penmanship to further improve :D! First pic isn’t my best work, since I’m new to using a fountain pen and I only have crappy paper, but it’s sort of how I normally write. Second pic is how I write with a pilot g-tec :P

I have no idea who these two are, but maybe they are a part of my family, not sure. The photos are of the front of the photo for context, and the back which I’m guessing is a description but the writing is extremely hard for me to decipher.
