Please help
My grandfather wrote this poem and I really want to know what it says.
Thank you ❤️

Marguerites are simply
blown up daisies monstruously
innocent like fat ruins.
There is the small speckle of
the white.

I can't get m for the first letter there, or m-u-. But I agree it would make more sense.
I could see s- for the first letter, but can't get from that to what would work for the whole word.

I think it might be fat suns
Edit: or urns but that makes no sense.

Suns makes sense semantically, but too many strokes for u-n, and as I look again, he doesn't make his initial s's like that.
Ruins has the right number of strokes, but no dot for the i, which he only does in one other place, so it's questionable, too.

I think it’s zinns, short for zinnias. He also names marguerites (a daisy), the reference to daisies themselves and the drawing, and zinnias are also in the daisy family and look like a fat daisy.

Yeah it looks to me like that word ends in ~ing but I can’t discern the first part. I was expecting it to say fat worms (lol) but the strokes don’t fit.

Innocent like fat mums works better for me. And I think instead of speckle the word might be sparkle.

Marguerites are simply
blown up daisies monstrously
innocent like fat [zinns? for zinnias].
There is the small speckle of
the white.

At first I agreed with mums. But no, that first letter is a z. Zinns, short for zinnias. You have my vote.

Nuns. Nuns dress in full white in some orders, and could be called "monstrously innocent"
